Student answer (Band 6.0)
The following maps illustrate a comparison between a farm's layout from the year 1950 and current arrangement.
Overall, previously, the sheep section dominated the entire farm by covering a significant proportion, and only consisted notable tree sections with other small segments. Currently the farm offers parking area, a farm shop, a camping field and solar panels for powering up the farm.
In the year 1950, the farm only handled soft fruits, maintained vegetables and fruit trees. Furthermore, a substantial percentage of the farm's arrangement was consumed by sheep. The farm also consisted of a farmhouse, barn and a chicken farm aligned altogether. By contrast, today the farm has a lot more to offer. Although it still has the old tree sections, the farm has introduced a farm shop, parking area placed nearby a new camping field, solar panels and holiday cottages. These major developments signal the commercialisation of the farm. It essentially demonstrates that the farm has converted into a production-and-service location. As it utilises the facility of solar panels, it further exemplifies the advancement of the farm.
