Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

The response covers the main features of the farm plans comparing 1950 with today, but the overview is very basic and lacks a clear summary of the major structural shifts. While you mention key additions such as the camping field, holiday cottages, and solar panels, some details are underdeveloped or slightly imprecise, such as describing the track simply as 'muddy' when it was a standard farm track. To move to a higher level, the overview needs to synthesize the overall spatial transformation more comprehensively, and key features should be reported with greater precision and clearer comparative language throughout the description.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a basic overall structure, dividing the description into an introduction, an overview, and separate paragraphs for 1950 and today. However, progression is somewhat disjointed and repetitive transitional phrases like 'numerous changes made' and 'moreover' are overused. Referencing between sentences is occasionally unclear, such as the pronoun use in phrases like 'located near it'. Paragraphing is present, but internal cohesion relies heavily on mechanical connectors rather than smooth logical progression. Improving the variety and accuracy of cohesive devices and ensuring a clearer narrative flow between past and present features will significantly strengthen this aspect.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

The vocabulary used is relatively limited and repetitive, with frequent spelling and word-form errors that occasionally strain communication. Words such as 'accodomation', 'entrace', 'sheeps', 'pannels', and 'farmshop' contain spelling inaccuracies, while collocations like 'supply of electricity' and 'soft trees' show unnatural word choices. There are attempts to use less common vocabulary, but noticeable errors in form and precision prevent the response from achieving a higher score. To improve, focus on mastering basic spelling rules, using precise terminology for spatial layouts, and avoiding invented word forms.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The writing relies on a limited range of sentence structures, and attempts at more complex sentences often contain noticeable grammatical errors. There are frequent issues with missing or incorrect articles, such as 'appearance of farm', 'track was constructued', and 'at the location of near the farmhouse'. Prepositional usage and verb tense consistency also need attention, particularly when shifting between the past state in 1950 and the present layout. While basic sentences are generally understandable, the frequency of structural errors and punctuation slips causes some difficulty for the reader and restricts the score at this level.
