The ilustration below shows the lay-out of the farm from a distinct year of 1950 and the same site in the present. The place experienced a redesign and highlights the structural modifications implemented in its current configuration.

Overall, the Beachwood Farm has undergo significant developments to expand its infrastructure. Most notably, the addition of solar panels and the removal of sheep that was replaced by camping fields. The track was transformed into road and the parking was attached near the solar panels and another additional to the east side.

Running through the south, the Barn was set there and that was above the farmhouse before. Furtheremore, holiday cottages was inserted on the right corner hence the chickens was lasted on the same spot.

Regarding the remaining structure, Barn was nicely placed in the convenient from road and the chickens was remained.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

The response addresses the task partially by outlining some of the main changes between 1950 and the present, such as the replacement of sheep with camping fields and the addition of solar panels and holiday cottages. However, the overview lacks precision and some details are under-developed or inaccurately described. For example, the student states that the fruit trees, soft fruits, and vegetables are 'equally the same size as the prior design', which misses the opportunity to report specific spatial relationships and clear comparisons effectively. Furthermore, the description of building relocations contains confusion regarding the layout, preventing the response from achieving a higher band.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

There is some organisation with paragraphing used to separate the introduction, overview, and body details, but the response lacks a clear overall progression. Cohesive devices are sometimes mechanical or inaccurate, such as 'Furtheremore, holiday cottages was inserted on the right corner hence the chickens was lasted on the same spot.' Referencing between sentences is occasionally unclear, making it difficult for the reader to follow the spatial transitions smoothly. To improve, the student needs to use logical connectors more naturally and ensure that sentences are sequenced to guide the reader clearly across the map features.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

The vocabulary used is limited but minimally adequate to convey basic information about the changes. The response attempts some less common vocabulary, such as 'infrastructure', 'modifications', and 'redesign', but these are accompanied by noticeable word choice errors and awkward collocations like 'the place experienced a redesign' and 'the chickens was lasted'. There are also spelling and word formation errors, such as 'ilustration', 'lay-out', 'mainted', and 'Beachwood', which cause some distraction for the reader. Expanding the range of descriptive verbs and adjectives related to geographical change would help lift the lexical score.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The response demonstrates a limited range of grammatical structures, relying mostly on simple sentences alongside some faulty attempts at complex ones. There are frequent errors in verb forms, tense consistency, and passive/active voice, such as 'the Beachwood Farm has undergo significant developments', 'sheep that was replaced', and 'Barn was nicely placed in the convenient from road'. Additionally, article and preposition errors persist throughout the text. These frequent errors can occasionally cause difficulty for the reader and prevent the response from demonstrating the control required for higher bands.
