Student answer (Band 5.5)
The diagrams show a comparison between the appearances of the beechwood farm site in 1950 and in 2026. Numerous new projects have been added that were absent in 1950.
Overall, the area covered by the projects od beechwood farm has increased today. Roads have been built connected through a barn and two areas have left for parking transport.A number of solar panels have been installed followed by an area specified as camping site for tourists.A farm shop has launched as well to offer fruits, vegetables and grains at the beechwood site.
In mid 20th century, a huge land was taken by the sheep in the farm site which has been replaced by various fascinating projects today. Parking has been made on both corners connecting to the roadside that was used as a track in 1950. Moreover, solar panels are being installed in order to provide electricity facilities and the left of the space has been transformed into the camping field with a tree beside.
However, the barn is now replaced and holiday cottages are being built there and the barn has just made in the middle of left side of chickens and farmhouse and is connected to the ends of roads. A farm shop has been built infront of fruits just opposite to the parking.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
The response addresses the task partially, presenting an overview of the changes between 1950 and today at Beechwood Farm. However, some key features are under-developed or inaccurately described. For instance, the sheep area in 1950 is mentioned, but the mapping of new amenities like the camping field and holiday cottages contains confusion regarding their exact locations and spatial relationships. While you attempted to highlight the main changes, such as the replacement of agricultural zones with recreational facilities, some of the details regarding the positioning of the new road layouts and buildings lack clarity. To move higher, you need to ensure all major differences are reported with precision and your overview clearly captures the broader transformation without factual inaccuracies.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
There is a basic logical arrangement in your writing, with an introductory paragraph, body paragraphs detailing specific changes, and an overview attempt placed near the beginning. However, the overall progression lacks smooth transitions, and cohesive devices are sometimes mechanical or inaccurate, such as repetitive use of linking expressions ('moreover', 'however'). Paragraphing is present, but the internal flow within paragraphs can feel disjointed, making it harder for the reader to follow the spatial comparisons easily. Referencing is also occasionally unclear, such as when describing where structures were relocated. To improve, work on connecting your sentences more naturally and structuring your body paragraphs around clear themes, such as accommodation versus recreational areas.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
Your vocabulary is minimally adequate for this task, allowing you to describe features like fruit trees, solar panels, and farm shops. However, there are noticeable word-choice and spelling inaccuracies throughout the text, such as 'od' instead of 'of', 'infront' instead of 'in front', and awkward phrasing like 'projects of beechwood farm' when referring to physical structures and amenities. Less common vocabulary is attempted, but it often lacks precision or natural collocation. To reach a higher band, focus on using exact geographical and architectural terms—such as 'replaced by', 'situated in the north-east', or 'converted into'—and eliminate basic spelling and word-formation errors.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You make a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but your writing contains frequent grammatical errors that can occasionally cause difficulty for the reader. There are issues with article usage ('the beechwood farm site', 'the camping field'), prepositions ('connected through a barn', 'two areas have left for parking'), and verb tenses/voices, such as 'are being installed' where simple past or present might be more appropriate, or 'the barn has just made'. Punctuation is also inconsistent, including missing spaces after full stops. To improve your grammar score, ensure tighter control over subject-verb agreement, accurate prepositional phrases for location, and error-free verb forms when describing visual data.
