Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

The response addresses the task only partially because it trails off abruptly at the end, leaving the description incomplete. While you attempt to provide an overview and mention some key features such as the transformation of the sheep field into a camping area, parking, and solar panels, the details are limited and under-developed. Furthermore, the barn is misidentified in the overview as being converted into holiday cottages when the map actually shows a new block of holiday cottages built nearby, and the old barn retained. To move to a higher band, you need to ensure all major changes are fully described without trailing off, and check your reading of the visual data more carefully against the provided maps.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

There is some basic organisation in the response, attempting to divide the content into an introduction, a past overview, and a present description, but the overall progression is disrupted by the incomplete ending. Cohesive devices are repetitive or basic, relying heavily on simple connectors like "to begin with" and "in the present plan". Referencing is sometimes unclear, and paragraphing breaks down as the text cuts off mid-sentence. To improve cohesion, you should use a wider variety of linking words more naturally and ensure that every paragraph has a clear thematic focus and complete structure.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

The vocabulary is limited but minimally adequate to convey basic features of the maps, using words such as "sheep field", "fruit trees", and "parking". However, there are noticeable spelling and word choice errors, including "benchwood" instead of Beechwood, "ameneties" instead of amenities, and "apllain" instead of a plot or area. These errors, along with awkward phrasing like "chickens place", cause some difficulty for the reader. To achieve a higher band, you need to expand your vocabulary range with more precise topographical terms and eliminate spelling mistakes.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

Your sentence structures show a limited range, with frequent errors in basic grammar, punctuation, and article usage. For instance, there are run-on sentences and comma splices, such as "Overall, the farm has undergone significant changes, earlier there was a huge sheep field now transformed..." Prepositional and verb form errors also occur, as seen in "road whichh is crosses the river" and "river following from eastern side". These frequent errors cause strain for the reader. To progress, you should practise forming complex sentences accurately, paying close attention to verb tenses for describing changes and improving your punctuation control.
