Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

The response makes an attempt to summarise the changes shown in the maps, noting that new facilities have been added while some elements like the fruit trees remain in the same place. However, the coverage of the visual data is quite limited and partial. While the writer mentions the addition of parking areas, a camping field, solar panels, and holiday cottages, key spatial details are missing or vague, and the description of the 1950 layout is undeveloped and unclear. There is an over-reliance on general impressions rather than specific, well-selected reporting of main features and comparisons, which keeps the response at this level.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The text is divided into paragraphs, attempting to contrast the past layout with current changes. However, there is a lack of clear overall progression, and the logical flow is frequently disrupted by abrupt shifts in topic and repetitive phrasing. Cohesive devices are used minimally and often inaccurately, such as awkward transitional phrases like 'While, the overall foundation was change' and 'however, fram house and barn side was quitely change'. Referencing is also weak, making it difficult to follow which specific areas of the farm are being compared between the two time periods.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

The vocabulary used is very limited and basic, with frequent spelling errors throughout the text, such as 'fram' instead of 'farm', 'tress' instead of 'trees', 'decure' and 'decurate', 'pannels', and 'loke'. Word choice is often inappropriate or repetitive, failing to capture precise meanings or descriptions required for academic visual data reporting. While there is a basic attempt to name features like 'camping field', 'solar panels', and 'holiday cottages', the high frequency of lexical and spelling errors impedes smooth communication.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

The range of grammatical structures is severely limited, consisting mostly of simple sentences alongside faulty attempts at complex ones. There are frequent errors in verb forms, tense consistency, and sentence construction, such as 'the fram became', 'it is the old disign was likely poor', and 'road was well develop as well as full fram was very much change'. Punctuation and article usage are also weak throughout. These frequent errors cause significant difficulty for the reader in parsing the intended meaning.
