The given map compares previous layout of the Beechwood Farm in 1950 with the recent changes that are noticed today.
Overall, the farm has undergon significant changes, the biggest notable renovation was building four solar panels near a newley constructed camping field and two new parking stations. In addition, the old track has been reconstructed to become a new road suitable for cars that interconnects at the bottom for visitors to reach the new barn.
Regarding the northern part of the farm, the sheep has been replaced by a camping field in the center with a parking station on its left side. Moreover, four solar panel are built on the upper right corner with another parking staion just below it. However, the track has been renovated to a road suitable for cars to allow more accessability to the barn connected to it.
On the bottom left side of the road, fruit trees, soft fruits and vegetables witnessed no change except building a small farm shop near the trees. Moving to the lower righ side of the road, the barn was also replaced by holiday cottages, while the chickens and the farmhouse remained unchanged.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
The response successfully addresses all parts of the task by comparing the layout of Beechwood Farm in 1950 with its current setup. It selects and reports key features, such as the replacement of sheep with a camping field and solar panels, and tracks modifications to the old track and buildings. However, some ideas are more fully developed than others; for instance, the description of the northern additions is detailed, while the lower right side could have integrated more precise spatial comparisons regarding the repositioned barn. It presents a clear overall picture that covers the main differences, sitting comfortably above basic requirements while showing elements of more extended reporting.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The essay displays a coherent overall arrangement with a clear logical progression from an introductory overview into specific spatial descriptions of the northern and southern areas. Paragraphing is used adequately to divide the zones of the farm. However, cohesion is at times mechanical or slightly faulty, with referencing that could be smoother (such as abrupt shifts like 'Regarding the northern part' and 'Moving to the lower righ side'). Transitional phrases are utilised, but some cohesive devices feel repetitive, keeping the organisational flow from reaching higher levels of seamless progression.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.0
The student uses an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, successfully incorporating topic-specific terms like 'layout', 'renovation', 'camping field', and 'holiday cottages'. There are some attempts to use less common vocabulary, though this is accompanied by occasional word choice and spelling inaccuracies, such as 'undergon', 'newley', and 'righ'. These lexical errors do not impede communication, but they reflect a typical middle-band control where precision in word form and spelling is not yet fully consistent.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 6.0
The text demonstrates a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, effectively combining relative clauses and prepositional phrases (e.g., 'the old track has been reconstructed to become a new road suitable for cars that interconnects at the bottom'). There are some errors in grammar, punctuation, and article usage, such as 'the sheep has been replaced' (plural/singular mismatch) and missing or awkward prepositions in phrases like 'on the bottom left side'. Nonetheless, these errors are relatively infrequent and rarely impede communication, allowing the majority of sentences to convey meaning clearly.
