Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

The response satisfies the requirements by covering all main features and making relevant comparisons between 1950 and today. You successfully identify major developments such as the replacement of the track with a road, the addition of solar panels and a camping field in the northern area, and the introduction of a farm shop. However, some areas are under-developed or described with slight inaccuracies, such as stating that the barn was removed and replaced by holiday cottages when the original barn structure actually shifted in position relative to the new road layout. To move to a higher band, ensure all spatial changes are reported with greater clarity and precision, fully developing the overview of overall transformations.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The writing demonstrates a coherent overall arrangement with a clear attempt to structure the response into introduction, overview, and body paragraphs. However, progression is sometimes hindered by repetitive phrasing and awkward transitions between ideas, such as moving abruptly from the sheep area to the orchard and agricultural plots. Cohesive devices are used mechanically and referencing is occasionally unclear, as seen in phrases like 'this part is ont change in now'. Paragraphing is present, but internal cohesion within paragraphs requires stronger logical links and smoother signposting to guide the reader effortlessly through the map comparisons.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

An adequate vocabulary range is employed to describe the visual data, allowing you to successfully mention features like 'Fruit trees', 'Soft fruits', 'Vegetables', and 'Solar panels'. Nevertheless, there are noticeable spelling and word-choice errors that impede fluent reading, such as 'maney', 'develope', 'ariya', 'rufe', 'tringle', and 'parte'. Less common vocabulary is attempted, but inaccuracies in word forms and collocations limit precision. To improve this criterion, focus on accurate spelling of common map-related terms and expand your repertoire of descriptive verbs and nouns to report spatial changes more naturally.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

A mix of simple and complex sentence forms is attempted, but grammatical control is inconsistent. There are frequent errors in verb tenses, subject-verb agreement, and prepositions, such as 'The map illustrate site', 'it redevelop the same site today', 'there has made solar panels', and 'this part is ont change'. Punctuation is also basic, with missing spaces and occasional run-on structures. While communication is generally maintained despite these issues, reducing the frequency of basic structural errors and achieving better control over passive voice and present/past tense shifts are necessary to reach higher standards.
