Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

The response addresses the task only partially. While you attempted to compare the 1950 map with the present day by mentioning features like fruit trees, the barn, and the new camping fields, your selection of main features is very limited. The overview is extremely vague and fails to clearly highlight the most significant changes, such as the overall commercialisation of the site through holiday cottages and the farm shop. Your ideas remain under-developed throughout the body paragraphs, and the overall description lacks the necessary detail and precise spatial comparisons to fully satisfy the requirements of a Task 1 report.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5

The response shows some basic organization into paragraphs, but there is no clear overall progression of information. You make use of some transitional phrases like 'Overall', 'In 1950', and 'On the other hand', but cohesive devices are frequently inaccurate, repetitive, or awkward, such as 'In addition, there facilities had not more categories' and 'In concludes'. Furthermore, referencing and logical linking between sentences are often faulty, which disrupts the flow of the description and makes it difficult for the reader to follow the spatial comparisons smoothly.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

The vocabulary used is limited and barely adequate for the task, resulting in frequent errors that cause difficulty for the reader. You rely on basic terms and make noticeable word-choice and word-form errors, such as writing 'unforunately', 'processed' instead of processes, and 'holidays cottage' instead of holiday cottages. There are also frequent spelling and phrasing issues that impede communication, such as 'full with places' and 'miniumum full with places', preventing the response from achieving a higher band.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

Your grammar and sentence structures are very limited, and attempts at complex sentences are frequently faulty. There are persistent errors in verb tenses, articles, and prepositions throughout the text, such as 'there facilities had not more categories', 'the plan compared at tow times', and 'the Beechwood Farm had not successful'. Frequent errors in basic sentence construction and word order can cause difficulty for the reader and severely limit the range of structures demonstrated in this response.
