Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You identify the two time periods and mention several relevant changes, including the new parking areas, farm shop, camping field, solar panels and holiday cottages. The response also notes that the original farm had fields, a barn, a farmhouse and chickens. However, the overview is vague: “there are some changes” does not summarise the main transformation, and the comparison is not developed with clear locations or what has remained unchanged. Some details are inaccurate or unsupported: the sheep area is described as a “sheep yard” in the eastern side, although it is north of the track, and the road is not shown as being for transporting goods. To strengthen the report, compare the layout more precisely and distinguish new facilities from retained features such as the farmhouse and agricultural plots.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable four-paragraph structure: an introduction, an overview, and separate descriptions of the earlier and current plans. This gives the reader a basic progression through the task, and time markers such as “In 1950” and “In today’s” help signal the comparison. However, the overview does not clearly guide the reader towards the main changes, and the descriptions are mostly lists rather than logically connected comparisons. Some linking is mechanical, particularly the repeated use of “Also” and “Moreover”; the sentence beginning “Moreover” is also a fragment. Group related changes by area or by what was retained and added, and use clearer references to connect the two plans.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use a reasonable range of task-related vocabulary, including “farm shop,” “camping field,” “solar panels,” “holiday cottages” and “facilities,” so the main subject is generally clear. There are also attempts at more descriptive language, such as “well maintained.” However, several spelling and word-choice errors reduce precision: “fruit tress,” “comparision,” “sost fruit” and “solar pannel.” Some combinations are unnatural or inaccurate, including “solar panels planting,” “sheep yard” and “today’s park.” Choose the labels used on the plan where possible, and use natural collocations such as “solar panels were installed” and “the farm today.” This would make the description more precise and fluent.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You use both simple sentences and some attempts at more complex structures, including “Overall, it is clear that…” and “Most importantly, there are…,” and the basic meaning is usually understandable. However, some sentence forms are incomplete or awkward. “Moreover, plantation of solar pannel, created camping area, and many more facilities” lacks a clear grammatical structure, while “there are some advancement in facilities such camping field” has problems with number and sentence construction. Articles and prepositions are also inconsistent, as in “in eastern side” and “in western side.” Work on complete clauses, singular/plural agreement, and article use; for example, write “A camping field and solar panels have been added.”
