Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 7.0

You give a clear overview of the main transformation: the farm becomes more developed, while several agricultural and residential features remain. You also report key changes, including the sheep pasture becoming a camping area, the addition of solar panels and parking, and the introduction of a farm shop and holiday cottages. These details are generally grounded in the maps. However, some comparisons are imprecise: the farmhouse and chicken enclosure remain in place, but the barn has moved to the south-western road junction rather than simply being “shifted in south.” The claim that the cottages were introduced “at this place” is also unclear, as they occupy the area south of the eastbound road. More precise descriptions of locations and changes would make the account more fully developed.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The response has a recognisable structure, moving from an overview to the 1950 layout and then to the present-day changes. This gives the reader a useful chronological progression, and contrasts such as “While” and “Although” help connect the two maps. However, cohesion is not consistently controlled. The final paragraph contains several changes in one long sequence, and “However” does not clearly signal the relationship between the barn’s relocation and the cottages. “Likewise” is also awkwardly attached to the farm-shop point. Some references, such as “at this place,” are unclear. Grouping the present-day changes by area and using more precise links between comparisons would strengthen the progression.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use some relevant map vocabulary, including “layouts,” “network of tracks,” “converted,” and “installation,” which helps describe the site’s development. There is also an attempt to vary wording rather than repeat “changed.” However, several inaccurate or misspelled forms reduce precision, including “framhouse,” “enclouser,” “fied,” “seep,” and “jucntion.” Some collocations are unnatural: “the several new were added” and “a large sheep pasture was occupied” do not express the intended meaning naturally. “Crops” is also a broad label for the distinct fruit-tree, soft-fruit, and vegetable areas. Aim for accurate map-specific terms and check spelling and word forms carefully.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt a range of sentence forms, including a contrast in “While some areas remained unchanged, others…” and a complex sentence beginning “Although.” However, grammatical control is inconsistent, and several errors make relationships between features difficult to follow. For example, “a large sheep pasture was occupied northern part” lacks a preposition and has an awkward passive construction; “a farmhouse and chicken enclosure” is an incomplete sentence; and “a holiday cottages has been introduced” has an article, number, and agreement problem. There are also punctuation and sentence-boundary issues, such as the comma after “Although” and the run-on sequence beginning “However.” Practise complete sentences, article and plural agreement, and accurate clause linking.
