Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

You identify the main transformation from a working farm to a site with visitor facilities, and your overview that animal-related land has been repurposed is relevant. You also accurately note that the fruit-growing areas remain and that the farmhouse and chicken enclosure are retained. This covers the task well, while some details are less fully or precisely reported: the barn is not simply replaced by cottages, since it remains on the plan in a different position, and the sheep area becomes a camping field with solar panels rather than just “camping field and greenery.” The claim that the site was developed with a sustainable approach is plausible from the panels, but would be stronger if tied directly to that evidence. More precise comparisons of the road layout and relocated barn would complete the account.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable progression: an introduction and overview are followed by comparisons of retained features and new facilities, then a brief conclusion. This makes the main message understandable. However, the paragraphing is limited, and several ideas are crowded into one long paragraph, so the reader has to work to distinguish changes in different parts of the site. Linking phrases such as “Although” and “To make a conclusion” are used, but some connections feel mechanical or do not clearly express the relationship between ideas. For example, the sentence beginning “The similar features…” moves quickly into the farm shop and parking without a clear organising principle. Group the changes by location or by retained versus new features, and use clearer references to the two plans.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You attempt a range of topic-related vocabulary, including “accommodation,” “renovation,” “captivity,” “adjacent,” and “infrastructural changes.” Some choices are imprecise or unnatural for describing a site plan: “ruled by animals,” “overpowered by holiday cottages,” and “resources were utilized efficiently” do not clearly describe the mapped changes. There are also spelling errors, including “accomadation,” “convinience,” “intalled,” and “wh eras” (written as “wheras”), which reduce accuracy. Aim for direct, conventional map vocabulary and accurate collocations, such as “converted into,” “located beside,” and “the area was redeveloped as.” This would make your descriptions clearer without needing overly elaborate wording.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a contrast with “Although” and a relative clause in “the place for farm house and area for chickens remain unchanged.” However, grammatical control is uneven, and errors occur in basic agreement, articles, tense, and sentence construction. For example, “The provided plans illustrates” should use a plural verb, while “A noticeable alterations was observed” has mismatched number and verb agreement. “A considerable changes was progressed” is also structurally faulty, and “the site designated for farm” needs an article. These errors sometimes make the intended meaning less clear. Practise accurate past-versus-present comparisons and check subject–verb agreement and singular/plural forms, while keeping complex sentences manageable.
