Overall, the beech farm has become more vivide, with the most significant changes being the construction of solar panels, road and parkings.
In 1950, the noth eastern side was occupied by sheep, while the barn, farmhouse and chickens stood behind the sheep zone. However, in the western side fruits trees, soft fruits and vegetables were between the river and the track path.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You identify the broad change from a farm in 1950 to a more developed site today, and mention several relevant features, including the sheep area, crops, solar panels, camping and holiday cottages. However, the overview is vague and some details are inaccurate: the barn was not transformed into a road junction; it remains on the site, relocated to the south-west of the farmhouse. The farmhouse and chicken enclosure also remain, but this continuity is not clearly reported. The response is under the required 150 words, which limits the range of features and comparisons you can cover. To improve, give a precise overview and describe the main changes to the buildings, access roads and land use accurately, with clear comparisons between the two plans.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response has a basic sequence: an introduction, an overall statement, and descriptions of the earlier and current layouts. This gives the reader some sense of the comparison. However, progression is limited, and the final paragraph combines several changes in a confusing way. For example, “with two parkings in each” does not make clear where the parking areas are, while “meanwhile” and “However” do not express the relationships between the ideas accurately. The reference to “it old place” is also unclear. Organise the details into clearer groups, such as western land use and eastern buildings, and use linking words only where their meaning fits. Clearer sentence boundaries would also help the comparison develop logically.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant vocabulary for describing a site, including “occupied,” “replaced,” “construction,” and “solar panels.” This shows a basic ability to discuss changes and locations. However, the range is limited, and several word choices or forms are inaccurate or unclear, such as “more vivide,” “parkings,” “track path,” and “triangle roads end.” These expressions make some details difficult to interpret. Spelling errors such as “noth” and “fruits trees” also reduce precision. Build a wider set of accurate map-description terms, including “located,” “remained,” “was converted into,” and “road junction,” and check plural forms and spelling before submitting.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a contrast with “while” and a longer sentence beginning “Today.” However, the longer structures are often faulty, and errors frequently affect clarity. For example, “the barn, farmhouse and chickens stood behind the sheep zone” has an unclear relationship between the features, while “Today, sheep zone has been replaced…” needs an article and a clearer subject. The final phrase, “However it old place has been replaced,” is also grammatically incomplete. Articles, sentence structure, and punctuation need more consistent control. Practise writing shorter, complete comparison sentences first, then combine them with accurate clauses using “while” or “whereas.”
