Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You identify the main contrast between the less developed 1950 farm and today’s added facilities, mentioning camping, holiday cottages, solar panels and parking. You also note that sheep farming has disappeared and that the track has become a road. However, some details are inaccurate or unclear: the barn has not been replaced by cottages; it remains on the site, while the cottages are added near the farmhouse. The reference to “a tree” is a minor feature, whereas the relocation and addition of facilities deserve clearer comparison. Develop the overview around the site’s shift towards tourism and renewable energy while retaining agricultural areas, and describe the main changes in their locations more precisely.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a basic paragraph structure: an introduction, an overview, and separate paragraphs for the earlier and current plans. This gives the reader a general route through the comparison. However, progression within the paragraphs is sometimes list-like, and the transitions “At first” and “At last” do not clearly signal the time periods or relationships between ideas. The overview also repeats the idea of maintaining the environment. Group details by area or type of change—for example, retained farming land, new visitor facilities, and changes around the farmhouse—and use clear links such as “By contrast” or “Meanwhile.” This would make the comparison easier to follow without relying on a sequence of loosely connected statements.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “solar panels,” “camping,” “farmhouse,” and “track,” so the reader can identify several key features. However, the range is limited and some word choices or collocations are inaccurate, such as “soft trees” for the soft-fruit area, “sheepyard area,” and “proper electricity.” Spelling errors such as “infastructure,” “convinence,” and “trouist” also reduce precision. “Tow parking facility” is difficult to interpret, although the plan shows two parking areas. Aim for accurate map vocabulary and natural phrases such as “visitor facilities,” “a field for sheep,” and “parking areas.” Check spelling and avoid repeating broad terms such as “new map” when “the present-day plan” is clearer.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You communicate the broad comparison using simple sentences and make some attempts to combine ideas, for example, “The track has been changed with road for convinence of trouist.” However, grammatical control is uneven, with errors in articles, agreement, tense, and sentence construction. Examples include “many new infastructure had been added,” “solar panels is installed,” and “The size of barn have been reduced.” The opening phrase “Overall point of view” is also not formed as a complete, natural sentence. Use the present perfect for changes that have occurred (“have been added”), ensure plural subjects take plural verbs, and include articles where needed (“the barn”). Practising accurate comparison sentences would help you express more complex relationships reliably.
