Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You identify the main overall change: the farm has gained visitor and commercial facilities, including parking, a camping field, cottages and solar panels. You also compare features that remain, such as the river, fruit-growing plots, farmhouse and chickens, so the response addresses both change and continuity. However, some details are unclear or inaccurate: the new facilities are not all in the “southeastern corner,” and the barn is not simply a new addition, as a barn was already present in 1950, though its position has changed. The claim that the farming area “never changed” is too broad, since the sheep area has been replaced by visitor facilities. More precise comparisons of the barn and land use would develop the overview further.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a clear four-paragraph structure, moving from an introduction and overview to changes and then features that remain. This gives the reader a coherent overall arrangement. You also use basic linking expressions such as “Overall,” “Similarly” and “On the other hand” to signal relationships between ideas. However, some connections are mechanical or unclear: “In addition new holiday cottages, barn and farm shops are placed in the southeastern corner southern and western side” is difficult to follow because several locations are compressed together. The final paragraph also groups multiple unchanged features without explaining their positions. Use clearer topic sentences and separate comparisons by area or feature to make progression more precise.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use relevant map vocabulary, including “northeastern corner,” “main road,” “camping field” and “solar panels,” and you attempt to describe change with phrases such as “introduced” and “remained unchanged.” This provides an adequate range for the task, but several word-choice, collocation and spelling problems reduce precision. “Recent dates” is not a natural way to refer to the present, while “camps” is less accurate than “camping field.” There are also misspellings such as “Similary,” “consturced” and “vegetabels,” and “road road system” is an unedited repetition. Check spelling carefully and choose terms that match the map labels; this will make the descriptions more fluent and exact.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a relative clause in “where now parking area… are introduced” and a contrastive sentence beginning “On the other hand.” The main message is generally understandable, but some grammatical errors affect clarity. For example, “has undergone a significant developments” has a mismatch between the article and plural noun, and “the are of the farming area” appears to contain an incorrect noun form. In “there has been consisting a main road and river,” the verb construction is faulty; a clearer form would be “the main road and river have remained.” Articles and sentence structure also need attention in “new holiday cottages, barn and farm shops.” Review agreement, verb forms and article use, then proofread each sentence.
