Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You identify the broad shift from farming towards tourism and commercial uses, and mention several relevant additions, including parking, camping and holiday cottages. However, some key comparisons are inaccurate or unclear: the barn was not relocated to the south-east; it remains in the eastern part of the site, although its position is shown differently relative to the new road. The farmhouse was not replaced by fruit trees, and the fruit trees were not converted into a farmhouse. The overview also says developments improved agriculture, but does not clearly summarise the main overall changes. To strengthen the response, compare the unchanged features with the new facilities and describe their locations accurately, including the farm shop and the retained crop areas.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable structure, moving from an overview to the 1950 layout and then to the present-day changes. This gives the reader a basic route through the information, and linking expressions such as “In addition” and “Moreover” help connect points. However, progression is sometimes disrupted by unclear or incomplete statements, such as “In contrast, the chickens area was nearly,” and the final paragraph lists changes without consistently relating them to their former locations. Some connectors, including “Whereas” and “While,” are used in ways that leave sentence relationships awkward. Grouping the changes by location or by retained and newly added features, and using complete comparisons, would make the organisation clearer and cohesion less mechanical.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use some relevant map vocabulary, including “redevelopment,” “facilities,” “holiday cottages,” “camping field” and “solar panels,” which helps communicate the general topic. There is also an attempt to describe land use with terms such as “dedicated to planting.” However, spelling and word-choice errors are noticeable and sometimes make the meaning difficult to follow: “sheep gazing” appears to mean sheep grazing, while “infornt,” “infrasturcture” and “substainable” are misspelled. Phrases such as “the area is wide spread” and “developments to improve the traditional agriculture” are also unnatural or imprecise. Build accuracy with common map collocations such as “occupied by,” “was replaced by,” and “a road was added,” and check spelling carefully.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt a mixture of simple statements and more complex comparisons, for example, “Whereas, barn and farmhouse are located in southeast corner.” However, many sentences contain errors in tense, agreement, articles or sentence construction, and these sometimes make relationships unclear. Examples include “The given maps compares,” “new facilities has been added,” and “the fruit trees was converted.” The opening overview also lacks a clear grammatical structure: “developments to improve the traditional agriculture, commercial areas and in tourism.” There are fragments or awkwardly joined clauses, such as “While access to new facilities new roads has been constructed.” Use past tense for 1950 and present tense for today, check singular and plural subjects, and make each comparison a complete sentence.
