Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
Student answer (Band 5.0)
If we compare old life style with modern one, there are many diffirences, but keeping part of it is neccesrey. Today we are making comparssion of Beechwood Farm. ad showing how cleaver is the owner.
In 1950s, we can see the farm rounded by revir in lift and down side and main road top-lift side, with having some fruit trees and vegtables, and farm house between Bran and chickens place.and we have road coming from main road passing through farm which we have sheep zone in other side.
Days pass and the genius farmer transfered his self-living farm to bussines farm.As you can see after soem decades we have farm its traditional form with some techniloges like Soler panels. addtionaly we can see sheeps place replaced with some tree and place for camping, and tow diffrent palces for parking.
In the other side of the farm road we can see same layout with some immprovements by adding Farm shop. the farmer shifted Barn to be next to chickens, and replaced with Holiday cottages. with this upgrdes the farmer may have better income.
Its very improtant to keep our orginal things and mix it with modern technologies and other helpful things. the idea is one, we need to improve and expand our bussines pleaces to be with modern world.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You identify the broad change from a traditional farm to a more commercial site, mentioning solar panels, camping, parking, a farm shop and holiday cottages. However, the response only partially reports the plans: several locations and changes are unclear or inaccurate. For example, the barn was not moved next to the chickens; it remains in the eastern part of the site, while the farmhouse and chicken enclosure also remain in broadly similar positions. The claim that the sheep area was replaced with “some tree” is imprecise: the present plan shows a camping field and solar panels in that area. The opening and closing comments about preserving tradition and improving business do not describe the maps. Focus on a concise overview and accurate comparisons of the main land-use changes.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response has separate paragraphs and follows a basic past-to-present sequence, so the reader can recognise that you are comparing the two plans. However, progression is weakened by unclear references and abrupt shifts. Phrases such as “In the other side of the farm road” do not clearly identify which area you mean, and “same layout” is not followed by a precise explanation of what stayed the same or changed. Linking expressions such as “Additionally” and “As you can see” are used, but they do not consistently clarify relationships between features. The personal introduction and conclusion also interrupt the map description. Organise the report into an overview followed by clearly grouped comparisons, using location-based references to guide the reader.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
You attempt some topic-related vocabulary, including “solar panels,” “camping,” “parking,” “Farm shop” and “Holiday cottages,” which helps convey the development of the site. However, spelling errors and inaccurate or unnatural word choices are frequent enough to make parts difficult to understand, for example “revir,” “vegtables,” “techniloges,” “self-living farm” and “upgrdes.” Some expressions are also unsuitable for a neutral map report, such as “genius farmer” and “better income,” because they add unsupported judgement rather than describing visible features. Build a reliable set of terms for locations and land use, and check spelling and collocations. Prefer precise descriptions such as “the sheep pasture became a camping field” over vague wording like “some tree.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple statements and longer sentences, but control is inconsistent, and errors often make relationships between features hard to follow. For instance, “with having some fruit trees and vegtables, and farm house between Bran and chickens place” lacks a clear grammatical structure, while “the farmer shifted Barn to be next to chickens, and replaced with Holiday cottages” has unclear subjects and verb relationships. Articles, plurals, and sentence boundaries are also frequently problematic, as in “Today we are making comparssion” and the run-on opening sentence. Use complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, and check articles and prepositions when describing positions. A few accurate, straightforward sentences would communicate the map changes more effectively than long, loosely connected ones.
