The given site illustrations demonstrates the plan of a Beechwood farm for the year 1950 and the present day.

Overall, the site has mostly same infrastructure regarding the main road, track area and other partitions. The major upgrade is found in te Sheep area from 1950 which is developed much. Furthermore, we can see some relocations and changes as well.

Vegetables and Soft fruits section are same while Fruit trees section has now Farm shop. In 1950, the Barn was loacted near East of the site which is now relocated to the right of vegetables section, bottom corner of the road, where as its old structure is converted to the Holiday cottages now. Below to the holiday cottages, the Farmhouse and chikens are are at same location. Furthermore, the track is now transformed to road.

The top whole Shepp area is redeveloped and has now: Parking on the left of the site, camping field at the center and portion of solar panels section on its righ. In the solar panels section, at the bottom, there is another Parking.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

You identify the two time periods and give an overview of the main transformation: the former sheep area is redeveloped, while the farm’s access route becomes a road. You also compare the fruit-growing areas, buildings and new facilities, so the response addresses the task and includes relevant details. Some descriptions, however, are unclear or inaccurate. The barn is not simply relocated to the bottom corner of the road: the present barn is south-west of the farmhouse, while the former barn site is occupied by holiday cottages. The second parking area is beside the eastbound road, not at the bottom of the solar-panel area. To strengthen the report, describe these positions precisely and include the farm shop and solar panels clearly in the overview of new uses.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a clear overall shape: an introduction, an overview, and two paragraphs describing changes. This gives the reader a sensible route through the comparison, and linking expressions such as “Overall,” “Furthermore,” and “In 1950” help signal relationships. However, some connections are mechanical or unclear. For example, “Vegetables and Soft fruits section are same while Fruit trees section has now Farm shop” compresses several changes into one sentence, and “where as its old structure” makes the reference difficult to follow. The final paragraph also lists features without clearly relating them to the former sheep area. Grouping changes by location and using explicit references such as “the former barn site” would make progression and cohesion more reliable.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use relevant vocabulary for describing a site plan, including “relocated,” “redeveloped,” “converted,” and “transformed,” and the reader can generally understand the changes you intend to report. However, several word choices and collocations are imprecise, such as “mostly same infrastructure,” “developed much,” and “portion of solar panels section.” Some spelling errors, including “loacted,” “Shepp,” and “chikens,” also reduce accuracy. Aim for precise map language and natural combinations: for example, say that an area “has been redeveloped” or that a facility “is located to the east.” Check spelling carefully, and avoid using “section” repeatedly when “area,” “field,” or “facility” is more suitable.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including comparisons with “while” and clauses introduced by “whereas.” The main meaning is usually recoverable, but some grammatical errors affect clarity. In “The given site illustrations demonstrates,” the plural subject needs a plural verb; “Vegetables and Soft fruits section are same” also has problems with articles and agreement. The sentence beginning “Below to the holiday cottages” has an awkward prepositional construction and repeats “are.” There are also inconsistent or incomplete sentence patterns in the final list after the colon. Practise accurate subject–verb agreement, articles, and complete clauses, then proofread each sentence for a clear subject and verb. This will help you retain variety while improving control.
