Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You identify the main overall change: the farm has been modernised and now includes visitor facilities, while some agricultural areas remain. You also compare the earlier track system with the present road and mention the farmhouse and chicken area retaining their positions. However, several important details are missing or unclear. The fruit trees, soft fruits and vegetables remain, and the barn has not simply been replaced: the original barn remains in a different position, while holiday cottages have been added south of the eastern road. The claim that the sheep area was divided into two sections is imprecise; the camping field and solar panels occupy parts of the former open area, with parking also shown. Develop these comparisons more accurately and cover the farm shop and changed crop-area layout.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The response has a clear overall shape: an introduction, an overview, a description of the 1950 layout and a final paragraph about today. This gives the reader a generally logical route through the comparison, and linking expressions such as “Overall” and “while” help signal relationships. The final paragraph, however, combines many changes in one long sequence, so the relationship between the cottages, barn, camping field and solar panels becomes difficult to follow. Some references, such as “each section,” are not fully clear. Use shorter sentences and organise the present-day features by area—for example, the western agricultural land, the northern visitor facilities and the eastern buildings—to make progression more controlled.

Lexical Resource: Band 6.0

You use a suitable range of vocabulary for describing change and location, including “redeveloped,” “retained,” “occupied” and “linked.” These choices communicate the broad transformation and show some willingness to use less basic language. However, several word choices or collocations are inaccurate or imprecise: “urban areas” does not describe a farm, “knocked down” is too definite for the map, and “eco-friendly” is an interpretation rather than a clearly shown feature. There are also spelling errors such as “facilitites,” “vehicals,” “devided” and “filed,” which reduce accuracy. Choose neutral map-description terms and check spelling carefully; for example, describe facilities as “added” and the track as “converted into a road.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a contrast with “while” and a relative clause in “a track linking the west and east side.” The main ideas are usually understandable, but some grammatical errors recur. Tense and aspect are inconsistent in “Today, the farm undergoes significant changes and becomes more and more modern,” where a present perfect form would better describe completed changes. There are also missing or misplaced articles and awkward sentence boundaries, as in “in1950” and the run-on sequence beginning “the barn was knocked down.” Improve control by using consistent past and present forms, separating linked changes into complete sentences, and checking articles, agreement and punctuation.
