The two pictures here demonstrates beechwood farm view back in 1950 and how it looks today.

There are saveral major changes can been seen in north of the farm, The sheep land is replaced and half of the area is now designated for solar panels and half for camping field. With small areas for parking in both sides. and there is clear sepration between the two sides. The tracks around it, that also connecting the new barn area has changed with roads.

Fewer changes can be seen in the other areas of the farm, the barn besides the road is replaced with holiday cottages and there is a new but comparably smaller area of barn in the south along side the farmhouse. this barn is connecting with two sides of road, whereas farmhouse and chickens area remain same, but on the west there is now a new farm shop near the fruit trees.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You identify several important changes, including the replacement of the sheep area by camping and solar-panel uses, the conversion of the former barn area to holiday cottages, and the addition of a farm shop. These are relevant comparisons and show a generally clear understanding of the plans. However, some details are inaccurate or unclear: the northern area is not described as being divided into two equal halves, and the parking areas are not simply on “both sides” of it. The overview is also limited because it does not summarise the broader shift from a mainly agricultural farm to a site with visitor facilities. Include the unchanged fruit, soft-fruit and vegetable areas, and describe the new road layout more precisely to make the account more complete.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable progression: it first discusses the northern part of the site and then moves to the buildings and western area. This gives the reader a basic structure, and comparisons such as “replaced with holiday cottages” help connect the two plans. However, the paragraphing and sentence boundaries are not consistently controlled. The second paragraph contains several ideas joined by commas, while “With small areas for parking in both sides” is a fragment that interrupts the flow. The reference in “The tracks around it” is also not fully clear. Organise the report into a concise overview followed by clearly grouped details, and use linking phrases to show how each feature relates spatially to the others.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use relevant vocabulary for describing changes and locations, including “replaced,” “designated,” “connecting,” and “remain same.” This gives you enough range to communicate the main developments, although some choices are imprecise or unnatural. For example, “sheep land” is less suitable than “sheep-grazing area,” and “clear separation between the two sides” does not clearly explain the map’s layout. There are also noticeable spelling errors, including “saveral” and “sepration,” which reduce the accuracy of the vocabulary. Aim for precise map-description terms such as “north-east,” “adjacent to,” and “converted into,” and check spelling and collocations carefully.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt a mixture of simple and more complex structures, including “whereas farmhouse and chickens area remain same,” and the main changes can generally be understood. However, some errors occur in basic sentence construction and agreement. “The two pictures here demonstrates” should use a plural verb, while “There are saveral major changes can been seen” combines incompatible structures; write, for example, “Several major changes can be seen.” Articles are also missing in phrases such as “the farmhouse” and “the chickens area,” and “remain same” needs “remain the same.” Punctuation is inconsistent, particularly the capitalisation after full stops and the comma-linked sequence in the final section. Use shorter, complete sentences and check verb forms, articles and sentence boundaries.
