the 1st change is track become a road. A larger area was there for sheep only in 1950 but now that side is distributed in main 4 parts 2 smaller portions are there for parking . Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You identify the broad change from a farm with sheep and agricultural plots to a site with new facilities, including a farm shop, camping field, solar panels, parking and holiday cottages. You also note that the track became a road, which is a relevant comparison. However, the overview is vague: “a large change in whole image” does not clearly summarise the main pattern of development. Some details are inaccurate or unclear, such as saying the sheep area is now divided into “main 4 parts” and describing the farmhouse as being “for chickens and barn.” The farmhouse, barn and chicken enclosure remain, while the new uses occupy other parts of the site. Organise the key changes more precisely and compare the locations and retained features.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

There is a basic sequence from the general change to specific areas, and phrases such as “the 1st change” and “on the other hand” show an attempt to connect ideas. However, the response is presented as one long paragraph, and the progression between locations is difficult to follow. The sentence beginning “A larger area was there for sheep” moves through parking, camping and solar panels without clearly distinguishing their positions. Later, the phrase “in river side” introduces several features in a crowded sentence. Use separate paragraphs for an overview and the main comparisons, and group details by area. More precise linking and referencing would help readers understand which side or part of the farm each feature occupies.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some relevant map vocabulary, including “track,” “road,” “parking,” “camping field,” “solar panels” and “holiday cottages,” so the reader can identify several important features. However, the range is limited and some expressions are imprecise or awkward, such as “new things,” “crowed,” and “large development in both the sides.” Spelling errors, including “evallout,” “furits” and “shope,” also make the description less clear. Aim for accurate, specific terms for changes and locations, such as “converted,” “retained,” “north-east” and “alongside.” Check spelling carefully and avoid repeating general words like “change” when a more exact description is available.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The response attempts to combine ideas using clauses, for example, “A larger area was there for sheep only in 1950 but now that side is distributed…,” but complex sentences are often difficult to follow because of errors in tense, sentence boundaries and sentence structure. Examples include “track become a road,” which needs a past-tense form, and “the farmhouse is for chickens and barn,” where the relationship between the features is not expressed clearly. Several sentences run together without full stops, particularly the final comparison, making the meaning harder to process. Practise writing shorter, complete sentences first, then add controlled clauses using “while” or “whereas.” Check articles, verb forms and punctuation when revising.
