Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You identify the main change from a working farm to a site with new visitor facilities, and your overview mentions the sheep area becoming a camping, parking and solar-panel area. You also note the addition of holiday cottages and a farm shop. However, several details are inaccurate or unclear: in 1950, the sheep area was north of the track, not south of it, and the barn was not simply replaced by cottages—the barn remains, while the cottages are added nearby. The claim that the other structures “remain constants” overlooks the conversion of tracks into roads and the new facilities. To make the summary more complete, compare the unchanged crop plots and farmhouse/chicken area accurately with the developments elsewhere on the site.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, an overview, and separate descriptions of the two time periods. Sequencing words such as “Furthermore” and “Finally” help signal additions. However, progression within the paragraphs is sometimes difficult to follow because locations are described imprecisely, as in “right or triangle” and “at South parts of Map.” The comparison also jumps between features, and “Finally all others structures remain constants” does not clearly connect to the preceding details. Organise the body around areas or changes—for example, first the western fields, then the northern additions, and finally the central and eastern buildings—and use clear location references to make the relationships easier to follow.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use relevant map vocabulary, including “track,” “plots,” “parking area,” “camping field,” and “farm shop,” so the reader can identify many of the features being described. However, the range is limited and several spelling and word-choice errors reduce clarity, including “comparision,” “trangle,” “holoday,” and “vegetalbes.” Some phrases are also unnatural or imprecise, such as “drastic change have done” and “different sectors likes.” Use accurate map terms and collocations, and check spelling carefully. More precise verbs such as “was converted into,” “was added,” and “remained unchanged” would help distinguish developments from features that stayed in place.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt a few longer sentence forms, including “First plot near the road at North was fruits trees, the middke plot was soft fruits and last one was vegetalbes plot,” but sentence control is inconsistent. Errors in agreement and verb forms occur in the overview (“drastic chnage have done”) and in descriptions such as “South from the track was coverd with sheep shelter.” Articles and sentence construction are also often missing or faulty, as in “there is a parking area, camping field, solar panels.” Most sentences rely on simple patterns, and these errors sometimes make the intended relationships hard to understand. Practise accurate past and present passive forms for map changes, and use complete, clearly punctuated sentences with consistent articles and agreement.
