Student answer (Band 5.5)
In today's modern world, education has become as important part of our lives. some people believe that in many countries summer holiday of secondary school is relaxation for student. while others think that secondary schools are closing for tow months is time wasting for student. this essay will discuss both views and given my opinion.
Regarding the first view, people believe that summer holidays is relaxation and enjoy able moments for students. In summer holidays students make plane to visit different places. Creating memorise of their childhood life for future. one key reason is that student can relax after their long term study period. For example they can attend musical festivals and others events. Moreover, many peoples are think that after tow moths holiday students can learn be energetic and good way because their minds are fresh after holidays.
Turning to the second view, people believe that in Europe secondary school close for two moths or more in the summer holidays is lot of time wasting. this because students are totally disconnect with their studies. A good example of this can be seen at their house students are busy in other activities such video games and make attend bad events and visit at bar. when after school are open students attend classes . where teacher explain difficult topics and student can ask questions therefore, people think summer holidays contain on at least 20 days maximum which is enough for their their relaxation.
In conclusion summer holidays both have important benefits and hazardous. In my opinion summer holidays is very important for students. because in this they can relax and physically active . therefore summer holidays is important for students

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address both questions by explaining that long holidays allow students to rest and enjoy activities, while shorter breaks may prevent them from losing contact with their studies. Your opinion is also stated in the introduction and conclusion: you consider summer holidays important. However, the discussion is only partly developed. The benefits are supported with examples such as visiting places and attending festivals, but the link between these activities and students’ wellbeing could be explained more clearly. The case for shorter holidays relies mainly on students playing video games or attending unsuitable events; explain more directly how shorter breaks could support learning or make the school year more effective. A clearer, more consistently reasoned position would strengthen the response.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, and a conclusion. Phrases such as “Regarding the first view” and “Turning to the second view” help signal the change in focus. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes difficult to follow because ideas are placed next to one another without clear explanation. For example, the point about visiting places is followed by “Creating memorise of their childhood life,” which does not form a clear connection to the next example. Some linking is also mechanical, particularly the repeated use of “Moreover,” “For example,” and “therefore.” Use clearer references and explain how each example supports the paragraph’s main point.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “relax,” “energetic,” “studies,” and “difficult topics,” so the main subject is generally understandable. However, the range is limited and several noticeable word-choice, collocation, word-form, and spelling errors make parts difficult to interpret. Examples include “make plane” for making plans, “Creating memorise,” “tow moths,” and “contain on at least 20 days maximum.” Some expressions, such as “bad events,” are too vague to communicate a precise idea. Build a bank of accurate phrases for discussing education and holidays, and check spelling and word forms carefully. More precise vocabulary would help you explain the benefits and drawbacks without relying on general wording.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more extended sentence forms, including a reason clause beginning “because” and a relative clause in “where teacher explain difficult topics.” However, complex sentences are often faulty, and frequent errors in sentence construction, agreement, articles, and punctuation sometimes make the meaning hard to follow. For example, “some people believe … while others think” is not punctuated or capitalised as a complete sentence, and “students can learn be energetic” has an unclear grammatical structure. There are also agreement problems in “summer holidays is” and “many peoples are think.” Practise building accurate sentences with one main clause and a clearly connected supporting clause, then check verb forms and sentence boundaries.
