Student answer (Band 6.0)
Durring hot summer season, many states allow primary and secondary schools to remain close durring this period. These summer holidays are very crucial in some countries. I agree with this statement in favour of shorter summer holidays to some extent.
There are several reasons of long summer holidays in many countries. The primary reason is the long period of summer which starts from mid may and least for about september. In the month of June and July ,these are the peak months of hot summer. The primary school children can not bare this heat wave durring this period. As the temperature of the countries is rising day by day,it is also a need to be safe at home. Therefore, Governments strictly order schools to remain close during this time.
The other reason of the prolonged summer holidays is the lack of facilities in schools. Some schools do not have enough facilities for students which can manage the schorching heat of summer. Hence, students stayed at home for long period of summer. These holidays are increasing as the heat of the countries also increases yearly.
Governments should be more concern about the children education. Adminstratives should take several measures to limit this heat such as educate people about the importance of plantation of trees, less use of private vehicles and other crucial steps. In this way, heat can be reduced at state level.
To sum up this discussion, i believe that these holidays period should be shorter as compare to recent year. The alternatives sholud be taken by the governments of the countries rather then to remain close durring this whole period. In my opinion, government should spent more on educational facilities which can also be environment friendly.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: the value of long holidays and arguments for shorter ones. However, the development is somewhat limited. While you explain that heat and lack of facilities are reasons for long holidays, the discussion on the 'value' of these holidays (e.g., family time, rest, extracurricular activities) is largely missing. You focus heavily on the environmental and infrastructure reasons for school closures rather than the educational or developmental value. To improve, ensure you balance the discussion by exploring the benefits of the break for students' well-being or personal growth, rather than just the logistical reasons for the closure.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is somewhat mechanical and repetitive. For example, you frequently start sentences with 'The primary reason' or 'The other reason'. Transitions between ideas are sometimes abrupt, and the logical flow within paragraphs could be smoother. While the overall progression is clear, the lack of varied linking words and occasional awkward phrasing (e.g., 'To sum up this discussion') limits the effectiveness of the cohesion. Using a wider range of cohesive devices would improve the flow.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
Your vocabulary is adequate for the task but lacks the precision and variety required for a higher band. There are several spelling errors, such as 'Durring' (During), 'least' (lasts), 'bare' (bear), 'schorching' (scorching), 'Adminstratives' (Administrators), and 'sholud' (should). These errors are frequent and occasionally distracting. While you attempt to use topic-specific vocabulary like 'infrastructure' or 'educational facilities', the overall range is limited. To reach a higher band, focus on accurate spelling and incorporating more sophisticated collocations related to education and climate.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that affect the accuracy of your writing. Issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'students stayed' instead of 'students stay'), incorrect preposition usage, and punctuation errors. For instance, 'As the temperature of the countries is rising day by day,it is also a need to be safe at home' is grammatically awkward. While the meaning is generally clear, the frequency of these errors prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. Focus on proofreading for basic sentence construction and verb tense consistency.
