Student answer (Band 6.0)
The given topic is about that most of the schools are close for a long time around 2 months or more then that in summer holidays which is value as long holidays.
In my perspective the summer holidays is not good if so long because if students take long holidays then they will be not able to make their routine again the same as the school days because they are just chilling in the holidays and not focus on vocation work and the school because they think its a holidays for us and we have to take rest but in reality this holidays is for due to hot weather in most countries but if wee install AC in the classrooms and provide a good enviromant for the students that they can study in even a hot weather and also make the transport system good and well that students can easily come to the school comfortable so they will be more able to study as much as they can but if holidays is must then it will be not more then 1 month and the homework must be mandatory for all the students so they will be able to manage their studies along with holidays.
On the other hand the arguments in favor of shorter school holidays is that if the holidays is shorter so students will be able to work in their homes just for a short period while enjoying their holidays, if school arranges some online classes for the students in the holidays so it will be more benifetial for the students so they can easily attend their classes online from their homes and complete their course on the right time.
In the conclusion, the summer holidays must be shorter or schools should be arrange online classes for the students or they have to install AC so the students will be more comfortable while studying.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: the value of long holidays and arguments for shorter ones. However, the development is somewhat limited. The ideas regarding the 'value' of long holidays are not explicitly stated; instead, the essay focuses heavily on the disadvantages of long breaks and proposes solutions like air conditioning. The argument for shorter holidays is also brief and lacks depth. To reach a higher band, you should clearly articulate the benefits of long holidays (e.g., family bonding, rest, extracurricular development) before discussing the drawbacks. The position is clear, but the supporting arguments need more elaboration and specific examples to fully satisfy the requirements of the task.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organised into paragraphs, which is a positive step. However, the progression of ideas is often disjointed. The use of cohesive devices is limited and sometimes repetitive (e.g., 'if... so...'). Some sentences are overly long and run-on, which makes the logical flow difficult to follow. For instance, the second paragraph contains multiple distinct ideas connected by 'but' and 'and', which obscures the relationship between them. Using a wider variety of linking words (e.g., 'furthermore', 'consequently', 'on the contrary') and breaking down complex, rambling sentences into shorter, clearer ones would significantly improve the coherence of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the precision and range required for higher bands. You rely on basic terms like 'good', 'bad', and 'chilling'. There are also some errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'vocation work' (likely meaning 'academic work' or 'schoolwork') and 'benifetial' (spelling error). To improve, try to incorporate more academic vocabulary related to education and time management. Avoid informal phrasing and ensure that your word choices are accurate in the context of the argument you are trying to make.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede readability. Issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'holidays is must'), incorrect article usage, and punctuation errors. Many sentences are run-on, lacking necessary commas or full stops to separate independent clauses. While the meaning is generally clear, the high frequency of errors in basic grammar and sentence construction prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. Focusing on sentence boundary control and proofreading for basic subject-verb agreement will help you improve your accuracy.
