In current times, the holidays are the only happiness in children's school life. Students are always wait for these days. Many countries give holiday for two months or more in the summer season. As my perspective, these holidays are important for students as well as people who are connect with the education field.
Specifically, the holidays period depend on country region. For example, India have two month holidays during summer season, while some European countries have vacation during the Christmas. These holidays play an important role in student's life. Vacation give them break from daily study and also reduce education stress from both parents and students. Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.0
The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 250 words, reaching only 161 words. Consequently, the development of ideas is severely limited. While the essay touches upon the value of holidays, such as reducing stress and learning new activities, the second part of the prompt—the arguments in favour of shorter holidays—is entirely neglected. The response is incomplete and lacks the necessary depth and structure required for an Academic Task 2 essay. To improve, you must ensure you address all parts of the prompt and expand your arguments with specific examples and logical explanations to meet the length requirement.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay is divided into two short paragraphs, but the logical progression is weak. While there is some attempt to use cohesive devices like 'specifically' and 'for example', the transitions between ideas are often abrupt. The lack of a clear introduction and conclusion makes the overall structure feel underdeveloped. Furthermore, the paragraphing is insufficient for an essay of this nature. To improve, focus on creating a clear introduction, distinct body paragraphs for each part of the prompt, and a concluding summary. Using a wider variety of linking words such as 'furthermore', 'consequently', or 'on the other hand' would help improve the flow of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is basic and repetitive, which limits the ability to convey complex ideas. There are several instances of incorrect word forms and collocations, such as 'people who are connect with' instead of 'connected with' and 'vacation give them break' instead of 'vacations give them a break'. The range of vocabulary is insufficient to demonstrate precision or flexibility. To improve, try to incorporate more academic collocations and synonyms. Avoid repeating simple words like 'holidays' and 'students' by using alternatives like 'academic breaks', 'vacation periods', 'pupils', or 'learners'.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The response contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. There are consistent issues with subject-verb agreement, such as 'holidays period depend' (should be 'periods depend') and 'India have' (should be 'India has'). Additionally, there are errors with articles ('the holidays are the only happiness') and pluralization ('two month holidays'). The sentence structures are predominantly simple, with very few attempts at complex sentences. To improve, focus on mastering basic subject-verb agreement and article usage. Practice combining simple sentences into complex ones using relative clauses or subordinating conjunctions to demonstrate a wider grammatical range.
