Student answer (Band 5.0)
Nowadays, more summer holidays for primary and secondary schools close is one of the most discussed topic's in the world. Some people believe that it will brings many benefits, while others think that it causes serious problems. But I firmly believe that governments should be give the summer holidays two months. This essay will explain why this position is more convincing.
The primary reason why students deserve summer holidays for two months is justified that they need some break for their mental peace. Although, some people argue that why students spend summer holidays for two months, they can spend time one or two week and it is enough to break from their studies. Still, I am considered that students should spend time for two months. For instance, when students busy with their studied especially in exams. They can't concentrate with other activities. In additionally, when they can't get their good results, they often depressed. Moreover, some students cannot move on from their bad results. As a result, they also don't get good achievement in final exam.
Another compelling argument is that when students get summer holidays for two months, they can focus other activities such as playing different types of games, reading book or article, and try to cooking new dishes etc. Furthermore, if pupils these do activities, they can learn different things. For instance, if they regularly play and its help their physical health and mental peace. They can also gain some experience from other activities. Those experience will be work in their future.
In conclusion, every topic have advantages and disadvantages, and this topic is no exception. However, I believe that this topic has no disadvantages because its helps their life in different ways. I also considered that with proper awareness and balance, students can enjoy the benefits of summer holidays for two months or more.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: the value of long holidays and arguments for shorter ones. However, the development is uneven. While you provide reasons for long holidays, the arguments for shorter holidays are addressed only by mentioning that some people think one or two weeks is enough, without exploring the potential academic or social benefits of a shorter break. The position is clear, but the ideas are somewhat repetitive and lack depth. To improve, ensure each viewpoint is supported by specific, well-explained examples rather than general statements.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay is organised into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate. For example, 'In additionally' is grammatically incorrect, and 'Still, I am considered' does not function as a logical transition. The progression of ideas within paragraphs is sometimes hindered by awkward phrasing, making the flow feel disjointed. To reach a higher band, focus on using a wider variety of linking words more naturally and ensure that each paragraph has a clear, singular focus.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the precision and range required for higher bands. There is frequent reliance on basic phrasing, such as 'good results' and 'do activities'. Some word choices are unnatural, such as 'I am considered' instead of 'I consider' or 'I am of the opinion'. There are also minor errors in word formation, such as 'studied' used instead of 'studies'. To improve, try to incorporate more academic collocations and synonyms to avoid repetition.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Common issues include subject-verb agreement ('it will brings', 'every topic have'), incorrect verb forms ('should be give', 'they can't concentrate with'), and missing articles. Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with comma usage. While the meaning is generally understandable, the high frequency of errors prevents the writing from reaching a higher band. Focus on mastering basic sentence construction and proofreading for subject-verb agreement.
