Student answer (Band 6.0)
Nowadays, schools for primary and higher education remain close for two or more months as a summer vacation in many of the countries. These long holidays plays an pivotal role in student's life for refreshing themselves and getting ready for the next stage of their academic curriculum. I believe that the tenure of these holidays should remain unchanged for many purposes.
To begin with, the holiday of two or three months tenure is very essential for the student's life as there are many moments which a student can enjoy in such time after completing one whole academic year. Firstly, student can enjoy the leisure time with their family by travelling to different places and it is now becoming a trend for going on a vacation after grade 12th with friends for capturing photographs and making memories. Apart from it, student's life requires many other practical skills other than theoretical knowledge for their career. So, this time may be utilized for learning a new skill. Furthermore, a student requires certain time for relieving their mind and becoming ready for the next academic year.
For the tenure of vacation, I believe that it should be remain unchanged as in this time student can enjoy their post examination period. If the holidays reduced to shorter period, it will be difficult for students to attend the next curriculum year with full potential as the student will not get proper time. Additionally, it may break the connection between student and parents due to lack of personal time and it may cause problem in their future.
In conclusion, The time period of school holidays in summer should remain as it is because it provides time to student for enjoyment and travelling with friends and family. Likewise, student may use the time for learning new skills.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
You have addressed both parts of the prompt: the value of long holidays and the arguments for shorter ones. However, the development of your ideas is somewhat limited. While you mention leisure and skill-building, the arguments for shorter holidays are less developed and rely on general assertions rather than specific examples or deeper analysis. To reach a higher band, ensure that each point is fully extended with clear reasoning. For instance, when discussing the 'break in connection' between parents and students, you could explain how this specifically impacts academic performance or social development to provide a more robust argument.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is logically organized into clear paragraphs, each with a central theme. You use basic cohesive devices such as 'To begin with,' 'Firstly,' 'Furthermore,' and 'In conclusion' to guide the reader. However, the flow between sentences is sometimes mechanical, and the use of referencing is occasionally repetitive (e.g., repeating 'student' frequently). To improve, try to use a wider variety of linking words and ensure that pronouns or synonyms are used to maintain cohesion without sounding repetitive. The paragraphing is appropriate and contributes to the overall clarity of your argument.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
Your vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing you to express your ideas clearly. You use some good collocations like 'academic curriculum' and 'practical skills.' However, there are some inaccuracies in word choice and phrasing, such as 'tenure of these holidays' (tenure is usually used for employment or property) and 'curriculum year' (academic year is more standard). To achieve a higher score, aim to incorporate more precise academic vocabulary and avoid repetitive phrasing. The range is sufficient to communicate your meaning, but it lacks the flexibility and sophistication required for higher bands.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
You demonstrate a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. However, there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally distract the reader. Examples include subject-verb agreement issues ('holidays plays,' 'student can enjoy,' 'it should be remain') and article usage errors ('a student' vs 'students'). While these errors do not prevent the reader from understanding your message, they are frequent enough to limit your score. To improve, focus on subject-verb agreement and the correct use of modal verbs (e.g., 'it should remain' instead of 'it should be remain').
