Student answer (Band 6.0)
In many nations across the world, primary and secondary students use to enjoy summer vacations of almost two to three months, most probabely from the month of July to september and many people argue about the importance and disadvantages of these holidays and even some individuals suggest providing school holidays for small period of time. This essay will discuss both schools of thought and provide reasons for those as well.
On the one side, facilitating junior students with two to three months of summer vacations plays an integral role in their development and mental health because they can try new things and can give time to their hobbies other than the course content. For example, if a student have a penchant for learning how to play piano, which requires a decent effort and enough time to learn but the student hardly finds time due to the busy schedule of the schools entire tenure. So he can pursue this hobby in the summer vacations and can get back to school more invigorated.
On the other hand, some people argue that this holiday period should be shorter. They povide a reason that students lose interest in their studies and it is often narrated by their parents that after spending long holidays, their children get use of vacations and put them in great deal of effort to send them back to school. Moreover, people also argue that a single year is already very short to complete the syllabus of ane particular class and giving students this free time exacerbate the situation buy limiting the time to cover course content of the year.
To conclude, providing long vacations has its own importance i.e., student's growth and a short escape from daily routine and drawbacks for example, difficulty in acomplishment of course work. I believe, this should be a decission of education sectors to decide about the duration of holidays, which is suitable for students and do not affect their personal growth as well as their studies.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: the value of long holidays and the arguments for shorter ones. The position is clear, and the ideas are relevant. However, the development is somewhat uneven. The argument regarding the benefits of hobbies is well-supported with an example, but the counter-argument regarding the curriculum could be more deeply explored. The conclusion is a bit brief and relies on a neutral stance rather than fully synthesising the arguments presented. To reach a higher band, ensure that each body paragraph provides a more robust analysis of the implications of the arguments provided.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is logically organised with a clear introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate the two sides of the argument. Cohesive devices such as 'On the one side', 'On the other hand', and 'Moreover' are used to guide the reader through the text. However, some transitions feel slightly mechanical, and there are minor issues with referencing and flow, such as the slightly awkward phrasing in the final paragraph. Overall, the progression of ideas is clear, and the essay is easy to follow throughout.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task. You use some good collocations like 'integral role', 'mental health', and 'invigorated'. However, there are several spelling errors ('probabely', 'ane', 'acomplishment', 'decission') and some awkward word choices ('get use of vacations', 'exacerbate the situation buy limiting'). These errors do not impede communication, but they do prevent the essay from reaching a higher band. To improve, focus on proofreading for common spelling mistakes and refining your use of collocations to ensure they sound natural in an academic context.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay demonstrates a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. There are several grammatical errors, such as subject-verb agreement issues ('if a student have', 'this should be a decission... which is suitable... and do not affect') and incorrect verb forms ('use to enjoy', 'get use of'). While these errors are noticeable, they rarely impede the reader's understanding. To achieve a higher score, you should aim for more consistent control over complex structures and pay closer attention to basic grammatical rules like subject-verb agreement and preposition usage.
