Student answer (Band 5.5)
IN THIS CONTEMPORARY ERA, SCHOOLS PLAY A CRUCIAL ROLE IN OFFSPRINGS LIFE ,BECAUSE THEY LEARN EVERY THING IN ACADEMI. BUT IN SEVERAL COUNTRIES SCHOOLS CLOSES FOR TWO MONTHS IN HOLIDAYS. THIS EASSY WILL DISCUSS THE REASONS AND THE IMPACT OF THIS IN THE UPCOMING PASSSAGE .
TO COMMENCE WITH , THESE ARE SOME CONCRETE ASPECTS REGARDING, WHY ACADEMIC CLOSES IN SUMMER HOLIDAYS . TO INITIATE WITH, OFFSPRINGS CAN LEARN NEW THINGS OUTSIDE THE SCHOOL. YOUNGSTERS CAN IMPROVE THIER HOBBIES AND LEARN NEW SKILLS . FOR EXAMPLE, MOST OF THE PUPILS DO PART TIME JOB WHEN THEY HAVE THE FEW HOLIDAYS BECAUSE THEY GAIN THE EXPERIENCE . AS A RESULT, THIS EXPERIENCE ASSIST THEM IN THEIR ACCOMPLOSHMENT.SECONDLY, OFFSPRING ALSO CRETE A STRONG BOND WITH THIER FAMIY IN THE OFF SCHOOL. YOUNSTERS ALOCATE THIER MOST OF THE TIME IN THE ACADEMIC AND THEY HAVE NO ENOUGH TIME TO SPEND WITH THIER GARDIAUNES . AS A RESLT, YOUNGHTERS LEARN ABOUT THIER HISTORY AND MORAL VALUES OF THEIR TRADITION BY TALKING WITH OLDERS.
ON THE OTHER HAND , THESE ARE REASONS WHY CHILDERS HAVE SHORTER SCHOOL BRAKES . FIRSTLY ,IF PUPILS HAVE A LONG VACATION THEN THEY FORGET ALL THE ACADEMIC WORK AND WHEN THEY JOIN CLASSES AFTER A LONG BREAK THEN IT IS VERY DIFFICULT TO RECALL THE WHOLE SYLLABUS . AS A RESULT , IT IMPACT ON THIER MIND AND SOME TIME PUPIL SUFFER FROM DEPRESSION. SECONDLY,THE WORKING PARENTS ALSO HAVE THE TENSION THAT HOW TO HANDEL A CHILD FOR 2 MONTH . PARENTS WHO ARE BUSIER IN THEIR PROFFESIONAL LIFE THEY CAN NOT DO FULLY CARE OF CHILDREN . AS A RESLUT , OFFSPRING CHOOSE WRONG FRIENDS TO COMMMUNICATE
TO CONCLUDE , I FIRMLY BELIEVE THAT OFFSPRINGS HAVE LONG VACATIONS FROM SCHOOLS SO THEY CAN GAIN OUTER EXPERIENCE ALONGWITH THAT THEY ALSO CREATE STRONG BOND WITH FAMILY

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: the value of long holidays and the arguments for shorter ones. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. While you mention gaining experience and family bonding, these points are not fully explored with specific, convincing examples. The term 'offspring' is used repeatedly and inappropriately in this context, as it is a biological term rather than a synonym for 'children' or 'students'. The position is clear, but the overall depth of the argument is restricted by the limited vocabulary and repetitive phrasing.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organised into clear paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. You use basic cohesive devices such as 'To commence with', 'Secondly', and 'On the other hand' to signal transitions. However, the use of these devices is somewhat mechanical and repetitive. Additionally, some sentences lack logical flow, such as the transition between working parents and the conclusion. Referencing is occasionally unclear, and the overall progression of ideas could be smoother if you used a wider variety of linking words and improved the logical connection between sentences.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary range is limited and contains frequent errors in word choice and spelling, such as 'offsprings' (incorrect plural), 'academi', 'gardiaunes', 'alocate', and 'proffessional'. The misuse of 'offspring' throughout the text significantly impacts the professional tone required for an academic task. While you attempt to use topic-specific vocabulary like 'syllabus' and 'vacation', the persistent spelling errors and incorrect collocations (e.g., 'do part time job') hinder the clarity of your message. You need to focus on learning the correct spelling and usage of common academic terms.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay relies heavily on simple sentence structures. While there are some attempts at complex sentences, they are often marred by grammatical errors, such as 'it impact on thier mind' (subject-verb agreement) and 'they have no enough time' (incorrect quantifier). Punctuation is also inconsistent, with frequent spacing errors around commas and periods. The frequency of these errors is high enough to cause some difficulty for the reader. To improve, you should focus on mastering basic sentence construction and subject-verb agreement before attempting more complex structures.
