Student answer (Band 6.0)
Some nationalities following the closer time of two months for primary and secondary school students along with more vacation in summer. In my view longer school holidays will gives a great time to boost up for study whereas, vacation for short time of period in schools will help students to maintain the same study pace for the entire year.
On the one hand, few countries are following long time of break for summer or winter vacations which can help children to get more time with their families after a study long period and they learn moral values with elders and participate in cultural events of family. For example, nowadays, pupils are very busy with their study cause of that they are not getting chance to spend more time with parents and elder people of family which can help them to learn moral values and help to bust relationships among children and elders. Furthermore, after a hectic schedule of term exam they will get a good break to prepare for further study.
On the other hand, giving break for short time of period to children of class primary and secondary keep them in more touch with the education because children are engaged with the education most of the time and they will be more into do study or spend time with their friends in the school. For instance, kids who are getting vacation for very short time tend to be more in touch with their study and performs good in academic. Moreover, it will help to working parents keep their kids more engaged in the study and tracked at school if no one is there to take care of them.
In conclusion, long vacation for children helpful to restart new session with more energy and freshness and short term holidays helps to students keep more track of study with short time of leaves.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: the value of long holidays and the arguments for shorter ones. However, the development is somewhat repetitive. For instance, the argument regarding 'moral values' is mentioned twice in the same paragraph without significant expansion. The position is clear, but the ideas lack depth and specific, illustrative examples beyond general statements. To reach a higher band, you should provide more concrete evidence or nuanced reasoning for each point rather than restating the same concepts in different ways. The conclusion is also quite brief and does not fully synthesize the arguments presented.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into clear paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. You use basic cohesive devices like 'On the one hand', 'On the other hand', and 'Furthermore' to signal transitions. However, the flow within paragraphs is sometimes hindered by awkward phrasing and repetitive sentence structures. Some cohesive links feel mechanical, and the logical progression between ideas could be smoother. For example, the transition between the benefits of long holidays and the need for a break after exams is a bit abrupt. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring that each sentence builds logically on the previous one would improve the coherence.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks precision and variety. You rely on simple, repetitive phrasing such as 'study', 'time', and 'education'. There are also some instances of awkward collocations and non-standard word choices, such as 'boost up for study', 'bust relationships', and 'tracked at school'. While the meaning is generally clear, the lack of a wider range of academic vocabulary limits the score. To improve, focus on using more precise synonyms and learning common collocations related to education and social development.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede the flow. Issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'holidays will gives'), incorrect preposition usage, and awkward sentence construction (e.g., 'Some nationalities following the closer time of two months'). Punctuation is generally functional, but there are errors in article usage and word order. While the meaning is usually understandable, the frequency of these errors prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. Focusing on basic sentence construction and proofreading for subject-verb agreement would be highly beneficial.
