Student answer (Band 5.0)
Yes that is correct that in many countries, primary and secondary schools closes for two or more in the summer for holidays. The reason for this is the extreme heat and polllution which is it is very important to have these holidays in such weather by which the students can spend more time with their parents and siblings and also manage to go on a family trip in a colder areas of ther respective countries.
During my time at school we used to get these long holidays in summer for 3 months May,June and July and in these 3 months I used to go for a family trip for one month and enjoy weather in the colder parts of my country such as Naran Kaghan and Skardu, also in the second month I would join the swimming classes and the third month I will stay at home and enjoy web series. Most importantly in the last month I managed to complete my summer homework.
The argumrents in favour of shorter school holidays the parents pay fees for those months for nothing so they want their children to be at school regardless of a weather and they believe that going to school in this summer weather actually make their child strong enough for their future. They also have a point of view this is waste of time for their children so why wasting the time for such longer period of holidays instead it should be for maximum one month or so.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses both parts of the prompt, discussing the value of long school holidays and the arguments for shorter ones. Ideas are supported with personal examples, such as spending time in Naran Kaghan and Skardu, and participating in swimming classes. However, the position could be more clearly articulated throughout the text. Additionally, please note that the Length Check reports the response contains 249 words, which fails to meet the minimum requirement of 250 words by 1 word. This minor under-length impacts the task achievement score slightly, capping the overall fulfillment of the prompt specifications at a Band 5.5.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The text is divided into three paragraphs, providing a basic structural layout, but progression lacks clarity due to run-on sentences and a lack of proper punctuation. For example, the first sentence runs on awkwardly with multiple clauses linked loosely by conjunctions like 'and which is it is very important'. Cohesive devices are minimal and sometimes repetitive. Paragraphing is attempted, with the first paragraph acting as an introduction, the second offering personal background, and the third presenting opposing arguments, but logical transitions between sentences within paragraphs are frequently faulty or missing, leading to a score of 5.0.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary used is relatively basic and repetitive, such as 'important', 'time', and 'holidays'. There are noticeable spelling and word choice errors, including 'polllution', 'colder areas of ther respective countries', 'argumrents', and 'why wasting the time'. While the writer attempts some less common vocabulary like 'web series' and 'respective countries', the presence of frequent spelling errors and awkward collocations like 'make their child strong enough' limits the range and strains comprehension in places, pointing to a Band 5.0 level.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The student uses a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, but control is weak. There are frequent grammatical errors, run-on sentences, and severe punctuation issues throughout the text. For instance, 'The reason for this is the extreme heat and polllution which is it is very important...' contains redundant phrasing and grammatical confusion. Another example is 'They also have a point of view this is waste of time...', which lacks necessary articles and relative pronouns. Because errors occur frequently and occasionally impede smooth reading, a Band 5.0 is appropriate.
