Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

The response addresses both parts of the prompt, discussing the value of long holidays (learning communication and financial skills, part-time jobs) and the arguments for shorter holidays (impact on grades and future employment). However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited and repetitive. Expressions such as 'in significant number of countries' and 'furthermore, we will discuss both precpective in details' lack academic precision. The position of the writer is stated, but the ideas are not fully extended with robust examples. The response meets the task requirements by covering both questions, earning a Band 6.0 according to the descriptors.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The essay displays a general logical arrangement with clear attempts at paragraphing and basic cohesive devices like 'To begin with', 'In contrast', and 'In conclusion'. However, cohesion is often mechanical and sometimes faulty. For instance, transitional phrases are occasionally misused or awkwardly linked, as seen in 'furthermore, we will discuss both precpective in details in this essay.' Additionally, referencing and pronoun use can be unclear, such as 'he will not able to get good a good job in the surroundings.' Paragraphing is used, but internal flow within paragraphs is hindered by repetitive phrasing and grammatical friction, placing this at a Band 5.5.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

The vocabulary used is adequate for the task, but contains numerous spelling and word choice errors. Examples include 'vications' instead of 'vacations', 'sudents' instead of 'students', 'precpective' instead of 'perspective', and 'knowldge' instead of 'knowledge'. There are also awkward collocations like 'deal costomers' and 'juge a student capabilities'. While the student attempts less common vocabulary such as 'significant proportion of population' and 'considerable benefits', the frequent spelling mistakes and inaccuracies limit the lexical score to a Band 5.0.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The response features a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, but attempts at complex structures are frequently faulty. There are persistent grammatical errors, particularly with verb forms and modal auxiliary usage, such as 'they could able to learn', 'if student will disconnected', and 'he will not able'. Punctuation is also weak, with run-on sentences and comma splices, such as 'It has numerous benefits for the students, they could able to learn many new skills...'. These frequent errors occasionally impede communication and align the grammar with Band 5.0 descriptors.
