In several countries, primary and secondary schools close for two months or more in the summer holidays. Longer time school holidays are quite beneficial for students because they can learn different type of experience such as computer skills, cooking, and driving; however, shorter school holidays are essential for students because they can achieve desire results in exams.
On the one hand, long school holidays are more crucial for learners because thay can use this time to learn other activities. Initially, when secondary school provide longer holidays, students can engage about learning computer skill, cooking, and driving. Consequently, they can learn some valuable real-life experience and may enhance their ability to communication skills. For example, in develping countries, numerous students engage about how to learn typing skills and they also learn other languages. Additionally, students can travel internationally and with in their country. Through travelling they can enhance their communication skills, understand about others culture, languages, and they also comprehend the world.
However, shorter school holidays are beneficial in some cases. Shorter holidays help them contineu to focus on their study and they can fully concerntration to their academic study. For instance, some school provide shorter holidays, especially private school because they want to students always touch in study. As a result, learners may achieve desired results in exams. Furthermore, if school provide shorter holiday, students do not get to chance to envolve some violance work like theft, crime, or eve-teasing.
In conclusion, although shorter school holidays help them to achieve better results in exams and they do not feel distruct from study, I believe that longer school holidays are quite beneficial for students because it provide plenty of opportunities to learn other activities and give them to chance travel other countries.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
The student addresses all parts of the prompt, discussing both the value of long school holidays and the arguments in favour of shorter ones. A clear position is maintained throughout the response. Ideas are extended with relevant examples, such as learning computer skills or travelling internationally for long holidays, and achieving desired exam results or preventing antisocial behaviour for short holidays. However, some ideas are slightly repetitive or under-developed, and generalisations are occasionally oversimplified. For example, the phrase 'different type of experience' uses a singular noun after a quantifier, and points regarding crime prevention are somewhat simplistic. Overall, the task is adequately fulfilled, corresponding to a Band 6.5 descriptor where all parts are addressed with relevant, albeit occasionally basic, development.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The essay is logically organised with a clear introduction, two body paragraphs representing opposing views, and a concluding paragraph. The progression of ideas is generally easy to follow. Cohesive devices are employed to signal transitions, such as 'On the one hand', 'However', and 'In conclusion'. Nevertheless, referencing and cohesion are sometimes faulty or mechanical. For instance, the use of pronouns is occasionally unclear ('help them contineu', 'help them to achieve'), and some linking phrases are awkward or unnatural ('when secondary school provide longer holidays', 'engage about learning'). Paragraphing is used sufficiently and appropriately, but internal cohesion lacks seamless flexibility. These features align well with the Band 6 descriptor.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.0
The student demonstrates an adequate vocabulary range for the task, attempting some less common lexical items such as 'antisocial behaviour' concepts (though expressed simply as 'theft, crime, or eve-teasing'), 'international travel', and 'desired results'. However, there are noticeable lexical inaccuracies, inappropriate word choices, and collocation errors throughout the essay. Examples include 'different type of experience' instead of 'types of experience', 'engage about learning' instead of 'engage in learning', 'enhance their ability to communication skills', 'always touch in study' instead of 'remain focused on their studies', and 'distruct from study' instead of 'distracted from their studies'. These errors show an adequate range with frequent slips in word choice and spelling, fitting the Band 6 profile.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, utilizing subordinating conjunctions like 'because', 'although', and 'if'. However, grammatical accuracy is inconsistent. There are frequent errors in verb forms, subject-verb agreement, and articles, such as 'Longer time school holidays', 'thay can use', 'school provide' (singular/plural mismatch), 'does not get to chance to envolve', and 'it provide'. While complex structures are attempted, many contain faulty grammar. Fortunately, these errors rarely impede overall communication, as the reader can still understand the intended meaning. This combination of a mixed structural range alongside persistent grammatical errors places the performance firmly at Band 5.5.
