What is the value of long school holidays?

What are the arguments in favour of shorter school holidays?

Student answer (Band 5.0)

In many countries, primary and secondary schools close for two months or more in the summer holidays. In this essay we will discuss value of a long holidays and problems of it.

On the one hand, students spent whole the year in their study. They studying and give exams continuously however, after long time study they become bored, in addition, students did not spent a good time with their family and relatives. The large range of activity can do in Long holidays likewise travel with family, can go their hometown and meet grandparents and relatives, outdoor activities and enjoying sports. Long holidays make students refreshment and gain new knowledge. Long holidays is beneficial for students to encourage them about new things.

On the other hand, while some people argue about long holidays. However, students who in class 10th or 12th have heavily study pressure of the board exam, Moreover they have not time for long holidays like 2 month. After exams they have to choose about field streams. Long holidays can effect their study and future plans. Therefore, shorter holidays is better for board exam students.

In conclusion, students feel sometimes feel bore from their studies therefore they go for long holidays which they can do many activities. However students over 10th class should focus on their study and shorter holidays is batter for them.
