Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5

The response attempts to address both parts of the prompt regarding the value of long holidays and the arguments for shorter ones. However, the ideas remain largely under-developed and superficial. For instance, the discussion on the value of holidays mentions "have more conforte" and visiting new countries, but lacks proper extension or concrete examples. Furthermore, the length requirement has not been met, as the response contains only 219 words, falling short of the 250-word minimum. This under-length impacts the overall fullness of the response, limiting the score to Band 4.5 based on the official descriptors.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0

The text shows some basic organisation with paragraph breaks and markers like "First of all", "in contrast", and "Secondly". However, progression is frequently disrupted by fragmented sentences and erratic punctuation. Cohesive devices are often used inaccurately or mechanically, such as "On the other hands thats idea dont be come always good". Referencing is frequently unclear, and the overall structure lacks smooth logical transitions between ideas, aligning the response with Band 4.0 descriptors.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.0

The vocabulary used is basic and repetitive, with frequent word-choice errors that impede communication. Examples such as "conforte" for comfort, "mekes fun", "pression of shool", and "scroling social medai" demonstrate a limited lexical range. Less common lexical items are attempted but are generally inaccurate or misspelled. The frequent spelling and collocation errors strain the reader's understanding, fitting the criteria for Band 4.0.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.0

Grammatical control is weak throughout the text. The response relies on simple sentences and poorly formed complex structures that are frequently faulty, such as "the argument in favour of shorter school holidays, being with focus at manage time for doing many expereince in short time". Errors in verb tenses, subject-verb agreement, and prepositions are pervasive and frequently cause difficulty for the reader. There is a very limited range of accurate structures, placing this response at Band 4.0.
