Student answer (Band 5.5)

Most of the developing countries, middle and high schools have closed for couple of months or more in summer season. I am really intrested in the shorter schools holidays rather then long holidays.

On the one hand, majourity of the countries included pakistan give them more holidays in the summar season. There are several reasons that have long school holidays such as student should be enjoyed with their parents. Moreover, most of the children feel stress as continued study in the scools and academies. Continuous study has direct and immediate impact of student physical and mental health. In the long vacations all the youngsters force their parents to go for long journey and also go their realives home. Furthermore, childers are much excited and waiting for this time to go outsite for picnic with their czns and other family members.

On the other hand, shorter schools holidays much more effective and benefical effect on the student memory. For instant, if pricipal take standpoint against the children school holidays can be minimized. There are some crucial effect on the leaners memory. They do not forget their study after their holidays. Moreover, Students shoulb be more active and energetic after their off days. In the coming years vacations should be minimized for their better school reputations and inhance their students learning skills like communications and business skills. All the students also boost their vocabulary, synonyms and other learning materials.

In conclusion, althrought, institutions have gaved couple of month holidays they have much benefits to reduce stree and anxiety about the study. But i firmly agree with short institute holidays because students should be not forgotten their study lessons.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

The response addresses both parts of the prompt, discussing the value of long school holidays and the arguments for shorter ones. However, the ideas remain somewhat limited and under-developed. For instance, when mentioning that long holidays allow children to visit relatives or enjoy picnics, the points are stated simply without extended supporting arguments or concrete examples. The writer's position is present, particularly in the conclusion where they state they firmly agree with short institute holidays, but the overall development lacks the depth required to push the response into higher bands. To improve, you should expand on your main ideas by explaining the underlying causes and effects in greater detail rather than simply listing points.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The essay displays some overall organization with clear paragraph breaks separating the introduction, the two body paragraphs, and the conclusion. However, there is a lack of clear progression throughout the response. Cohesive devices are sometimes inaccurate or mechanical, such as using 'For instant' instead of 'For instance', and transitional phrases like 'On the other hand' do not always smoothly connect contrasting ideas. Additionally, referencing is occasionally unclear, as seen in the phrase 'if pricipal take standpoint against the children school holidays can be minimized', where the logical link between clauses is muddled. To achieve a higher band, ensure that each sentence flows logically into the next and that cohesive devices are used precisely to signal relationships between ideas.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

The vocabulary used is limited and minimally adequate for the task. The writer attempts some less common vocabulary, such as 'standpoint' and 'institutions', but encounters noticeable errors in word choice, spelling, and word form. Examples include 'intrested' instead of interested, 'majourity' instead of majority, 'summar' instead of summer, 'childers' instead of children, 'outsite' instead of outside, 'czns' for cousins, and 'benefical' instead of beneficial. Furthermore, awkward collocations like 'institutions have gaved couple of month holidays' hinder the fluency of the writing. To improve, focus on expanding your range of vocabulary while ensuring correct spelling and natural word combinations.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The grammatical structures used are rather limited, relying heavily on simple sentences and basic complex forms. Attempts at more complex structures frequently result in faulty grammar and punctuation. There are frequent errors in verb forms, tenses, subject-verb agreement, and prepositions within grammatical patterns, such as 'Most of the developing countries, middle and high schools have closed', 'students should be not forgotten', and 'continuted study in the scools'. Punctuation and article usage are also inconsistent throughout the text. These frequent errors can cause some difficulty for the reader and prevent the text from demonstrating consistent control over grammar.
