Student answer (Band 5.0)

In many countries schools close for two months or more in the summer holidays due to intensive heat stroke but it is quite valuable for the health and brain's intelligent growth of a student with the help of this break.

I am not in the favor of long school holidays in terms of learning. Because it can disrupts the regular learning sessions with the help of instructor in schools. For Example a primary school child gets attached with teacher after spending some time in school but after vacations it would be difficult for him to find that pace again.

If we talk about secondary school child, he would acknowledge some good habits in this free time and should utilize this time for digital learning too. Now a days digital learning becomes a weapon to success.

Shorter school holidays are beneficial. It can resume the regular school learning in short period of time. It is very helpful for the primary school students. It can help teachers to maintain their regular lesson plans. After a short break, students come back to school with great energy and enthusiasum. They spend there short break with family and friends. Some students spent time on trips which is also a very healthy activity for them. After all these activities, they enjoy their syllabus more than before.

In both cases different outcomes could be generated with the help of cooperative parents. Theses outcomes should be attractive in terms of student's brilliancy.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You address both questions: you mention health and time for personal activities as benefits of a long break, and argue that shorter holidays help students and teachers resume regular learning. However, the discussion is only partial and several points are unclear or insufficiently explained. For example, the opening refers to “intensive heat stroke” without explaining how this makes a long holiday valuable, while the point about secondary students using digital learning is not developed. Your position is also mixed: you oppose long holidays “in terms of learning” but do not clearly weigh their overall value against shorter breaks. The response is 233 words, so it is 17 words below the 250-word minimum; the 11 words copied from the prompt are excluded. Develop and support each side more fully, then state your overall view clearly.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The response has some organisation: it begins with the value of a summer break, moves to concerns about learning, and then presents advantages of shorter holidays. Paragraph breaks help distinguish these points. However, the overall progression is not consistently clear, and connections between ideas are sometimes mechanical or confusing. For instance, “If we talk about secondary school child” introduces a new point without showing how it supports the argument, and “In both cases different outcomes could be generated” does not clearly refer back to the preceding discussion. Repeated sentence openings such as “It can” also make the writing feel repetitive. Use clearer topic sentences and link each example directly to the claim it supports; ensure pronouns and transitions have unmistakable references.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “regular learning sessions,” “lesson plans,” “digital learning,” and “short break,” so the reader can generally follow the subject. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are noticeably inaccurate, sometimes making meaning difficult to interpret. “Intensive heat stroke” does not express the likely idea clearly, “brain’s intelligent growth” is unnatural, and “weapon to success” is an unsuitable metaphor in this context. There are also spelling errors such as “enthusiasum” and “Theses.” Aim for precise, natural phrases rather than translating expressions literally, and check spelling carefully. More accurate vocabulary for educational continuity, rest, and family activities would help you explain the contrast between long and short holidays.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple sentences and longer structures, including a conditional example beginning “For Example a primary school child gets attached with teacher after spending some time in school.” However, the range remains limited, and errors occur frequently enough to make some sentences difficult to read. Examples include “it can disrupts” (the modal should be followed by the base verb), “a primary school child” without a necessary article before “teacher,” and “They spend there short break,” where the possessive form is needed. The opening sentence also combines several ideas without clear grammatical control. Practise accurate subject–verb patterns, articles, possessives, and sentence boundaries. Building a few reliable complex sentences will help you express cause, contrast, and examples more clearly.
