Student answer (Band 4.5)

In most nations, elementary and higher schools' summer vacations last two or more. some times its longlasting because of weather conditions or other factors .

To my knowledge, the worth of additional school holidays are wordeful experience its beause, in summer, nobody likes to go to school, especially children. Moreover, summer is a very long holiday when everybody likes to enjoy their time together to celebrate different varieties of cold desserts and fruit. For example, in summer breaks, people like to visit water parks and beaches to enjoy.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0

You address both questions in a basic way: you describe summer holidays as a chance for children to spend time with family, explore places and visit beaches or water parks, then argue that shorter breaks may help students focus on study and maintain routines. However, these points are only briefly stated, and the explanation of the benefits of shorter holidays is unclear, particularly “overcome the misuse of extracurricular activities.” The response also ends mid-sentence (“for example they will e”), so the second argument is not completed. The required minimum of 250 words is not met, which limits how fully you can explain and support your ideas. Develop each side with a clear reason and a specific example, and finish with a complete conclusion.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

There is some organisation: the opening introduces the topic, the first main paragraph discusses long holidays, and “On the other hand” signals a shift to shorter holidays. Examples such as visiting water parks are placed near the point they support. However, progression is limited because the ideas within each paragraph are not developed in a clear sequence, and the final paragraph stops abruptly. Some linking is also awkward: “Moreover” introduces another leisure example rather than a clearly extended argument, while “Due to an inadequate period of break” does not clearly connect to the claim that pupils can concentrate. Use a simple structure with one main idea per paragraph, explain the link between each reason and its effect, and complete the final point.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “summer holidays,” “focus on their studies,” “daily schedules,” and “water parks.” These choices help communicate the general subject. However, the range is limited and several inaccurate or unnatural expressions make the meaning difficult to follow. For example, “the worth of additional school holidays are wordeful experience” does not express a clear idea, and “celebrate different varieties of cold desserts and fruit” is an awkward way to describe summer activities. Spelling errors such as “childern,” “patienclly,” and “longlasting” also reduce clarity. Aim for precise, natural phrases and check spelling; for instance, explain that a long break allows children to rest, travel, or spend time with family.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more extended sentence forms, including “Long breaks make students less attentive to their students” and a sentence beginning “Due to an inadequate period of break.” The use of “because,” “especially,” and “for example” also shows an effort to connect clauses. However, sentence control is inconsistent, and errors sometimes make relationships between ideas unclear. The opening has incomplete or poorly formed sentences (“summer vacations last two or more” and “some times its longlasting”), while “the worth … are” shows a subject–verb agreement problem. There are also problems with sentence boundaries and punctuation, including the unfinished final sentence. Practise writing complete sentences with clear subjects and verbs, and check agreement and punctuation before submitting.
