Student answer (Band 4.5)
School holidays are an important part of the education system, and in many countries, students enjoy a summer break lasting two months or longer. Although, long holidays provide several benefit for children, shorter holidays also have advantages.
On the one hand, long school holidays allow students to relax and recover from academic pressure because in our school routine they suffer from alot of problems. For example, during the year children have to attend their clasess and some tests they really fustrate of te same routine like some students suffers from mathematics subject problems they have to improve and share our thoughts to instructors i am very weak in this subject. Therefore, they taking some stress about our subject and our upcoming exam so how could i improve my score and they do practicing in our home and academy but the result still same thats a very negative effect on our site. However, in their off days like saturday, sunday they plays some outdoor activities cricket, football, badminton to feel more fresh and relax as well.
On the another hand, summer holidays plays a positive role in all our ascepts like childrens unwind go with their famil members to mountains areas to change our mood as well and attract to natutre as well. Furthermore, a children spend time with our family feels more happiest because the longer holidays students feels more comfortable they do a variety of things. For instance, children play games with our siblings and some-times go for shopping with our family member and do dinner too. In contrast, shorter holidays plays to vital role in our life like individuals are busy in our routines, academy because education is too improtant for us.
In conclusion, holidays is the main positive key for all over students in all the world. Childrens spend time with our favourite relationships like parents, friends etc and do our performance best in academic.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5
You address both questions in a general way: the response presents relaxation and family time as benefits of long holidays, and briefly notes that shorter breaks keep students engaged with education. However, the discussion is uneven and does not clearly explain the value of shorter holidays; the point that students are busy with routines and academy is difficult to interpret as an argument in their favour. Several examples focus on personal academic stress or leisure activities without explaining their broader significance. The conclusion repeats that holidays are positive but does not clarify the comparison or establish a clear position. To strengthen the response, explain each side directly and develop relevant examples—for instance, how shorter breaks may reduce learning loss or make the school year easier to organise.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5
The response has an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion, and signposts such as “On the one hand,” “On the another hand,” and “In conclusion” show an attempt to organise the discussion. However, progression within paragraphs is difficult to follow because several ideas are crowded together, and the relationship between them is not always clear. The first body paragraph moves from academic pressure to subject difficulties, exam worries and weekend sports; the second shifts between family trips, activities and the value of shorter holidays. Some linking expressions, including “However” and “In contrast,” do not clearly signal the relationship between the sentences they connect. Give each paragraph a clear central point, arrange supporting details in a logical order, and use referencing and transitions only where their meaning is precise.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
You use some relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “academic pressure,” “outdoor activities,” “summer holidays,” and “comfortable.” However, the range is limited and many expressions are repeated or imprecise, which sometimes makes the intended meaning hard to understand. Phrases such as “positive key,” “on our site,” and “plays to vital role” do not communicate ideas naturally, while “alot” and “clasess” show spelling problems. There are also frequent word-form and collocation issues, such as “more happiest” and “attract to natutre.” Build a more accurate set of topic phrases and check spelling and collocations. For example, use “a vital role” rather than “plays to vital role,” and “spend time with family” rather than “go with their famil members.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a concession in the introduction (“Although…”) and a reason clause beginning “because.” Some sentences communicate a basic idea, but grammatical control is inconsistent, and errors often make longer sentences difficult to follow. Examples include “students enjoy a summer break” followed by “Although, long holidays provide,” where the clause structure and punctuation are faulty; “they plays” and “holidays plays,” which show subject–verb agreement problems; and “they taking some stress,” which has an incomplete verb form. Articles, plurals and pronouns are also unreliable, as in “a children” and “with our siblings.” Aim for shorter, complete sentences first, then practise accurate subordinate clauses and consistent subject–verb agreement.
