Student answer (Band 5.5)
In most nations schools are close for long times in summers days. In my opinion it is good for pupils as well as guardians. I will explains the reasons in upcoming paragraphs.
There are myraid reasons in favour of long vacations. The most preponderant is that spend time with their family. When students free from their school for a long time they spent alot of time with their parents and do alot of acativities as well as children learn many cultural values from their parents. As a reault they become more creative and build a strong bond with their parents. Furthermore, the other reason is take a break from their busy schedule. To explain it, they feel very uncomfortable beacuse students have lots of study pressure they also want to take a rest for few months. In these days they can spend their life in own way. Moreover they have no study pressure in these holiday. They can do alot of acativity as well as they can concentrate on their physical health.
Moving further, there are lots of arguments in favor of shorter holiday. The first and foremost is that families do not plan long trips. Because parents do not want any kind of effects on children study so they do not explore nature and familes do not have any kind of memories with their family. Another reason is that grandparents want to spend their time with their grandchildren. In short term holidays they do not do any kind of thing with their grandchildren and spend alot of time alone at their home so they feel alone and uncomfortable.
In conclusion. long holidays play a very important role in every families life because most of families create a strong bond in these days.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address both questions and give a clear general view that long holidays benefit pupils and families. Relevant points include family bonding, rest from study pressure, and the possibility that shorter breaks limit trips and time with grandparents. However, the discussion of shorter holidays is not fully focused: the point that families “do not plan long trips” is presented as a disadvantage of shorter breaks, but the reason why shorter holidays might be preferable is not explained. The conclusion also restates the value of long holidays without weighing the two sides. Develop each argument with a clearer explanation or example, and make your position on the relative merits of shorter holidays explicit.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two sides, and a conclusion. Sequencing phrases such as “Furthermore,” “Moreover,” and “Moving further” help signal progression. However, connections between ideas are sometimes mechanical or unclear. For example, “Because parents do not want any kind of effects on children study” does not clearly explain why shorter holidays are advantageous, and the following sentence about families not making memories is difficult to follow. Some points also repeat, such as the references to spending time with family and having no study pressure. Use clearer links between cause and result, avoid repeating the same point, and ensure each paragraph develops one coherent argument.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “study pressure,” “cultural values,” “creative,” and “strong bond,” which helps communicate the main ideas. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate, sometimes making meaning difficult to follow. Examples include “schools are close,” “spend time with their family” where the subject is unclear, and “do any kind of thing with their grandchildren.” Spelling errors such as “myraid,” “acativities,” and “reault” are also noticeable. Build a more accurate range of phrases for discussing education, family time, and holiday arrangements, and check spelling and collocations carefully.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including cause-and-effect structures such as “As a result they become more creative” and a subordinate clause beginning “Because parents do not want…”. However, many sentences contain errors in verb forms, agreement, articles, or sentence construction. For example, “I will explains” should use the base verb after “will,” while “When students free from their school… they spent” lacks a verb in the first clause and shifts tense. “The most preponderant is that spend time” is also incomplete, and “In conclusion.” is incorrectly punctuated as a sentence fragment. Practise building complete clauses and checking subject–verb agreement and tense consistency; these frequent errors currently make some ideas harder to understand.
