Student answer (Band 6.0)
Nowadays, many primary and secondary schools provide vacation for 2 months and even more in summer holidays. Some people believes the longer duration holidays, affect student study. This is because, in vacation children want's to play, explore and travel at intrusting things. I strongly agree on this arguments, but in the vacation many infants create creative things and learn relevant lesson throw adventures journey.
One major reason why i believe that having longer holidays more beneficial for students to learn new skills that help them in study and expanding their capability. Students can relax after months of study and return to school feel refreshed. Childern can travel, spend time with relatives, learn new skills and take part in outdoor activities. For example, children may attend swimming classes, learn musical instrument or spend time with their grandparent during summer vacation. As result, children coomunication, survival, problem solving skills can improve significantly.
On the other hand, shorter vacation can provide better continuity in study. When student spend several weeks away from their studies, they may forget some of the information they have learned, due to that teacher need to revise past topic when class resume. The shorter breaks help children to maintain their learning habits. However, students also need sufficent time to relax or develop their personal skills. Therefore, school should provide regular breaks throughout the academic years without making holidays for longer duration.
In conclusion, althought shorter school holidays can help to maintain academic progress, longer summer holidays allow them to relax, explore new interes and develop required life skills. I believe that long holiday are more beneficial and student need to use that time productively.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address both questions and maintain a clear preference for longer holidays, especially in the introduction and conclusion. The value of a long break is supported with relevant examples such as swimming classes, music lessons, and time with relatives, followed by benefits including relaxation and personal skills. You also explain the case for shorter holidays through continuity of learning and the need to revisit material after a long absence. However, the two sides are not developed equally: the argument for shorter breaks is comparatively brief, and the final suggestion about regular breaks is not fully explained. Develop this point with a specific example or clearer reasoning, and make the relationship between your position and the opposing argument more precise.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for the benefits of longer and shorter holidays, and a conclusion. This makes the main progression easy to follow, and signposts such as “On the other hand” and “In conclusion” help identify shifts in focus. Some connections are less clear or mechanical, however. For example, “due to that teacher need to revise past topic” does not smoothly express the cause-and-effect relationship, while “However” introduces a qualification without clearly linking it to the preceding point. Referencing is also occasionally vague, as in “that time” in the conclusion. Use more precise linking and references, and connect each example explicitly to the claim it supports.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use a relevant range of vocabulary, including “continuity in study,” “learning habits,” “problem solving skills,” and “develop their personal skills.” These choices help communicate the main ideas, and examples such as “outdoor activities” and “musical instrument” suit the topic. However, inaccurate word choice, collocation, and spelling are noticeable and sometimes make the meaning less natural: “vacation” is repeated where “holidays” would fit the prompt, “intrusting things” is unclear, and “coomunication” and “interes” are misspelled. Some phrases, such as “create creative things” and “required life skills,” are imprecise or repetitive. Aim for accurate, natural combinations and check spelling carefully; this would make your adequate range more flexible and precise.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and complex sentence forms, including a reason clause with “because” and a contrast introduced by “although.” Most of the main ideas remain understandable, but some errors in sentence structure, agreement, verb forms, and articles reduce accuracy. For instance, “Some people believes” has a subject–verb agreement error, and “Students can relax … and return to school feel refreshed” needs a parallel verb structure. In “having longer holidays more beneficial,” the sentence is missing a linking verb, while “school should provide” does not agree with the general plural subject intended. Review sentence completeness, agreement, and article use, then proofread punctuation and spacing. More consistently accurate complex sentences would strengthen control.
