Student answer (Band 5.0)
Many countries provides hoilday for more than month to student in the name of summer and winter vacation.Individuals say that it is not good for student study and some says it is good. I disagree with the said notion that children should be given holiday for more than month because lots of disadvantages to student.
initally, primary and secondary schools provide holiday to student for month and more in name of vacation it should not be given because, students takes long time to recover their chapter and syallabus even some week student fails at exam.Additionally, children may loss intrest on schooling and class. To explain ,after long period of holiday students may not wish to go back to schooling and continue their study and sit long hours in school. This situation can affect student mental and physical pressure and may lead to depression.Even schools are charging fees by giving month holiday without teaching a single word to pupils.
On the other hand, school can give holiday for one week as a refreshment and vacation along with homework and task to mainatin their stability. For instance ,Student can learnand complete their work assignment while travelling and enjoying holiday.Again, long school holidays is beneficial to teacher only to explain, students are charged their fees and school pays to teacher with out any activity.Schools must give online classes to student during leave of institue.
Conclusion, schools should not give more holidays to student and give proper school assignment and giving long holidays can cost a lot to student . I completely disagree for giving more number of holidays .More number of holidays means more burden to student.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You give a clear overall view against long holidays, and the first body paragraph offers relevant concerns, including students losing continuity in their studies and finding it difficult to return to school. However, the task asks both for the value of long holidays and for arguments in favour of shorter ones. The response mainly argues against long breaks; it does not explain the benefits of extended holidays, such as rest, family time or opportunities to travel. The shorter-holiday case is also only briefly stated, and the point about fees and teachers is not clearly connected to why shorter breaks are beneficial. Develop both sides with specific explanations and examples, while keeping your position consistent and precise.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion, so the reader can identify its broad structure. Paragraphing also separates the objections to long holidays from the suggestion of a shorter break. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes unclear: the discussion moves from missed study to depression and then school fees without explaining the links. Connectors such as “Additionally,” “On the other hand,” and “Again” are used, but some do not accurately signal the relationship between ideas. References such as “it” and “this situation” can also be unclear. Organise each paragraph around one main point, explain it in sequence, and use linking phrases only where they express the intended connection.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some task-related vocabulary, including “summer vacation,” “syllabus,” “assignment,” and “depression,” which helps communicate the general topic. However, the range is limited and several word choices or combinations are inaccurate or unclear, such as “recover their chapter,” “loss interest on schooling,” and “stability” for maintaining study habits. Spelling and word-form errors—including “hoilday,” “initally,” and “syallabus”—also make the writing less fluent to read. Build a more precise set of phrases for discussing the benefits and drawbacks of school breaks, and check spelling and collocations. For example, students may “catch up on missed work,” “lose interest in school,” or “maintain their learning routine.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more extended sentences, including a conditional idea in “after long period of holiday students may not wish to go back,” and you use some subordinate clauses. However, errors are frequent and sometimes make relationships between ideas difficult to follow. Examples include “Many countries provides,” “students takes,” and “schools are charging fees by giving month holiday,” which show problems with subject–verb agreement, articles and sentence construction. Some sentences also run together or lack clear punctuation, particularly in the opening and conclusion. Practise accurate basic sentence patterns first, then add complex clauses with clear subjects and verbs. Careful proofreading for agreement, articles, plurals and sentence boundaries would improve clarity.
