Student answer (Band 5.5)
School has always been an important part of any person. Almost every kid loves summer holidays. In many countries, for two months or more primary and secondary schools got close for summer hollidays.
Overall, there are multiple values of the long school holidays, which i totally agree with but some people state in the favour of shorter holidays, believing shorter summer vications are more beneficial for students.
On the one side, schools are shutting down for many months for summer rest which numerous mortals believe have good impact on schoolchild . In that time children can learn a new skill or work on their hobbies. Furthermore, have the break give them enough time to relax and explore themselves. Nowdays, knowing what you want to do with your life puts in huge advatage at early age. For instance, If no break is given, students will burn out of their studies and overall their academic score will fall because their brain will get exhausted.
On the other side, some individuals believe that having shorter break is more valuable than bigger holidays. Many parents think that if they are paying to the school, they should let their children to go school everyday. Moreover, many folks state that working on hobbies and skills is no use in life and giving longer breaks is just waste of the valuable time of the students and finance of the parents. For example, students may just waste their whole summer vication on plaiying video games or spoling themselves rather than doing something productive. Which is one of the big concern many parents have.
Summer vication is very important and it should not be longer then 3 months, because it is enough time for anyone to reset. Having concern about children wasting thier precious time is also genuine, so to prevent this necessary actions should be taken from parents and also from the school.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
The response addresses both questions: it explains that longer breaks allow students to rest, develop hobbies and avoid burnout, then presents concerns about wasted time and parents’ expectations. Your view is also stated, particularly in the conclusion that a holiday of up to three months is sufficient. These points are relevant, but some are more fully explained than others. The benefits are supported with a reason about exhaustion and academic performance, while the shorter-holiday argument relies mainly on general claims about parents and students playing video games. The position that holidays should not exceed three months could be connected more clearly to the arguments in the body. Develop each main point with a specific explanation or example to make the response more complete.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The essay has a clear overall structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two sides, and a concluding opinion. Phrases such as “On the one side” and “On the other side” help readers follow the contrast, and examples are placed alongside relevant claims. However, some linking is mechanical, and a few connections are unclear. For instance, “Which is one of the big concern many parents have” is a fragment that does not connect smoothly to the preceding example. The conclusion introduces the idea of taking “necessary actions” without specifying what these are or linking them clearly to the earlier discussion. Use transitions more naturally and ensure each sentence develops the paragraph’s central point.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “burn out,” “academic score,” “hobbies,” and “productive,” and the reader can generally understand your ideas. However, the range and control are limited by repeated or imprecise expressions such as “long holidays,” “valuable time,” and “many folks.” Several spelling errors, including “hollidays,” “vications,” “advatage,” and “spoling,” are noticeable, while phrases such as “numerous mortals” are inappropriate for this context. Aim for accurate, natural collocations and check spelling carefully. More precise terms for rest, learning and parental concerns would help express your points clearly without relying on broad or informal wording.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
There is an attempt to use both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a conditional sentence beginning “If no break is given” and a contrast between the two viewpoints. However, some grammatical errors remain and occasionally make sentences difficult to follow. For example, “schools got close” has an incorrect verb form, and “have the break give them enough time” does not form a correct sentence. In “students should let their children to go school,” the verb pattern and sentence construction are faulty. The sentence beginning “Which is one of the big concern” is also incomplete. Practise accurate verb forms, subject–verb agreement and complete sentence construction, then proofread punctuation and articles.
