Student answer (Band 5.5)
Around the world, some countries primary and secondary schools were closed for two months or more than in the summer holidays.
However, holidays are important for both students and teachers.Because in whole year they both were significantly busy with work, exam pressure on both.and also become bore with their daily lifestyle.sometime brain needs some break and want relax timing.in summer students enjoy their lesiuer time with their parents or grand parents.or some student also join summer camps to enjoy other activite which healthy for their mind and develop new skill which can help in their future. In contrast, teacher also get relax and get more time to spend with their family and friend.however, school also give then summer vacation home work for student so they can connect with their study.long vacations are important once in a year.
overall, shorter school holidays are also good they introduct this in school because in long vacation student get bore and want some activites so they want to go back to school.stayding at home also increase the depression and anixety level in both student and as well as teacher too.
n conclusion, although shorter holidays can help students maintain their academic routines, I believe that long summer holidays are valuable because they provide students and teachers with enough time to relax, spend time with their families and participate in other activities.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address both questions: you explain that long holidays allow students to rest, spend time with relatives and attend camps, and you mention that shorter breaks may help students return to school and maintain routines. The conclusion also gives a clear preference for long holidays. However, the arguments are brief and some are unclear or insufficiently explained—for example, the claim that staying at home increases depression and anxiety is not supported with a reason or example. The response also does not meet the stated 250-word minimum, which limits the space available to develop the ideas. To strengthen the response, explain the benefits and drawbacks more fully and add a relevant example for each main point.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
There is a basic overall structure: an opening, discussion of long holidays, a paragraph on shorter holidays and a conclusion. Linking expressions such as “However,” “In contrast” and “In conclusion” show an attempt to guide the reader. However, progression within paragraphs is often difficult to follow because several ideas are joined in long, loosely connected sequences, and the contrast between the two sides is not consistently clear. For instance, the paragraph about long holidays moves from students’ rest to camps, teachers’ family time and homework without clear separation. Use one paragraph for each main question, organise each around a clear topic sentence, and connect supporting details with accurate, varied transitions.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “exam pressure,” “summer camps,” “academic routines,” “depression” and “anxiety.” These choices help communicate the main ideas, but the overall range is limited and several word-choice, collocation and spelling errors make parts of the response difficult to understand, such as “become bore,” “lesiuer time” and “activite.” Some phrases are also imprecise, including “relax timing” and “connect with their study.” Aim to learn common topic collocations and check spelling and word forms carefully. More precise expressions would make your points clearer without requiring unusually advanced vocabulary.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The response attempts both simple statements and longer sentences, and the final sentence communicates your position clearly. However, the range of sentence structures is limited, and attempts to combine several clauses often produce frequent grammatical errors. Examples include “some countries primary and secondary schools were closed,” “Because in whole year they both were significantly busy,” and “school also give then summer vacation home work.” These show problems with sentence formation, verb forms, agreement and articles. Punctuation and capitalisation are also inconsistent, making sentence boundaries unclear. Practise writing complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, then check tense and agreement; use shorter sentences when a longer structure becomes difficult to control.
