Student answer (Band 5.5)
NOWDAYS MANY COUNTRY HAVE BEEN INTRODUCE SUMMER MORE THEN A MONTHS, IN SECONDARY AND PRIMARY SCHOOLS. LONG SUMMER VACCATION MIGHT BE HELPFULL TO STUDENTS AND TEACHERS TO TAKE REST FROM THIER WORK IT HAVE GREAT WAY TO RELAX BUT I HAVE COME WITH SOME DRAWBACKS.
ON THE ONE HAND IN VARY NATION THEY ALL HAVE MULTIPULE NATIONAL VACCATION ALONG SIDE HOLIDAYS AND THEN INTRODUCE SUMMER VACCATION OVER MONTH. IT MAY EFFECT LEARNER CONSISTENCY TO LEARN. FOR INTANCE IN KENYA THEY GOVERMENT PASSED A RULE IN COUNTRY WHILE THE TIME OF SUMMER INSITIUTION WERE CLOSED OVER 3 MONTH , WHILE AFTER 5 YEAR EDUCATION BOARD HAD TAKE A SURVEY OF STUDENT IQ . THEY WERE FIND STUDENT IQ AND THEIR CRITICAL THINKING ABILITY SLIGHTLY GOES LOWER. AS A RESULT PROVIDING UNCESSARY VACCATION MIGHT BE EFFECT THEIR CONSITENCE AND FOCUS.
ON THE OTHER HAND, INCREASING SUMMER VACCATION IS ESSESNTIAL FOR STUDENT HEALTH. BECAUSE IN MANY COUNTRIES, WHILE THE TIME OF SUMMER THEY HAVE BEEN SUFFER FROM DANGEROUS HEAT STRESS. BEACAUSE OF GLOBAL WARMING, HOWEVER IT DIRECTLY CAUSE THE HEATSTROKE IN STUDENT AND TEACHER FOR INTANCE IN INDIA, IN FEW EYEARS THEY HAVE BEEN SUFFERING FROM HEATWAVES IN SUMMER , FOR THAT GOVERMENT PASS THE CIRCULATION TO INCREASE UMMER VACCATION TO REDUCE CHANCE TO ITS NOT CAUSE ANY PROBLEM WITH STUDENT HEALTHS.
IN CONCLUSION I BELEIVE THAT INCREASING SUMMER VACCATION IN EXTREMELY SCORCHING AREA IS GGOD TO PROTECT LEARNER HEALTH, IS GOOD DECESION BUT INTRODUCING WITHOUT PLANNING IS NOT A APPROPRIATE WAY, BECAUSE DIRECTLY EFFECT UNDERGRATES COCNSISTENCY. INSTANT OF THAT THEY PASS RULE IN THE TIME OF EXTRA VACCATION THEY NEED TO ATTEND THE ONLINE CLASSES AND SOLVE TASK, SO THEREFORE THEY REGULAR TO THEIR STUDY AND ALSO PROTECT FROM CAUSE.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address both questions and present a relevant overall view: long breaks can protect health in extreme heat, while extended time away from school may weaken learning continuity. The examples about heatwaves in India and school closures in Kenya help make these points concrete. However, the value of long holidays is mainly discussed in terms of rest and health, and the case for shorter holidays is less fully explained; the claim about students’ IQ and critical thinking is difficult to assess because the survey and its findings are not clearly described. Your conclusion offers online classes as a compromise, but this proposal could be linked more explicitly to the arguments. Develop each side with clearer reasoning and support to make the response more complete.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable overall structure, with an introduction, two contrasting body paragraphs and a conclusion. Signposts such as “On the one hand,” “On the other hand” and “In conclusion” make the main stages easy to identify. Within paragraphs, however, connections are sometimes mechanical or unclear. For example, the Kenya example moves from a rule to a survey and then to lower IQ without explaining the relationship between these points. The heat-health paragraph also repeats “because” and shifts between causes and consequences without a smooth progression. Some references, such as “its” in “reduce chance to its not cause,” are difficult to follow. Use clearer topic sentences and connect each example directly to the point it supports.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “critical thinking ability,” “heat stress,” “heatwaves” and “global warming,” which helps communicate the subject. There is also an attempt to express more specific ideas than simply saying holidays are good or bad. However, spelling and word-choice errors are noticeable throughout and sometimes make the meaning difficult to understand, as in “vaccation,” “consitence” and “circulation” where “directive” or “order” seems intended. Several phrases are also unnatural, such as “take rest from their work” and “cause the heatstroke.” Build accuracy with common collocations and check spelling carefully. A more controlled range of precise expressions would make your arguments clearer and more convincing.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including cause-and-effect clauses and examples introduced with “while” and “because.” This shows an effort to explain relationships between ideas. However, control is inconsistent, and some sentence structures make the meaning hard to follow. For example, “Long summer vacation might be helpful to students and teachers to take rest” has an unclear construction, while “They were find student IQ” has an incorrect verb form and missing grammatical elements. Agreement, articles, plurals and tense also need attention, as in “many country have been introduce” and “the government pass.” Practise building complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, then check verb forms and punctuation, especially in longer sentences.
