Student answer (Band 6.0)
Primary and secondary students gets summer vacations of two to months. These holidays can be valuable for students if utilized efficiently and not wasted, like for learning different practical skills other than the sallybus. An argument for shorter vacation period can be the fact the student get spoiled during the long span and may get involved in unwanted activities.
The main purpose of the summer holidays of is to prevent primary and secondary school kids from the heatwaves of summer, so they can stay home and don't get any harm from the increasing summer temprature. For example, In many countries , each school cannot afford air conditioning in each class and the trip from home to school also make them vulnerable for bad effects of high temprature and heat waves.
Another, positive impact these holidays have is that the students can learn new skills during this time. For example they can learn computer skills that can aid them in school studies or learn a new foreign language according to their taste.
The reasons that support shorter school holidays mainly include that kids in their immature age are prone to delevope bad habbits when they stay free for such long time. They might get influence of wrong company and start smoking effecting their physical as well as mental health. Another reason can be long break might kill their interest in studies.
Summarizing, long summer holidays are of pramount importance if utilized properly and under proper supervision of adults and parents, and help student learn new skill while shielding them from heat. But if left unsupervised it can have bad impact on their health as well as studies.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
You address both questions and maintain a clear overall view: long holidays can protect children from summer heat and allow them to learn skills, while shorter breaks may reduce exposure to harmful influences and help sustain interest in study. The examples about schools lacking air conditioning and learning computer skills or a language make the benefits relevant. This meets the task well, with some elements more fully explained than others. The case for shorter holidays is less developed: smoking and loss of interest are mentioned, but the essay does not explain how a shorter break would prevent these outcomes or give a supporting example. Develop that reasoning and clarify the distinction between the value of long holidays and the case for shorter ones to make the response more complete.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a coherent overall arrangement: an introduction presents both sides, separate body paragraphs discuss the benefits of long holidays and arguments for shorter ones, and the conclusion summarises the position. Linking phrases such as “For example,” “Another” and “Summarizing” help signal the stages of the discussion. However, some connections are mechanical or unclear. “Another, positive impact” is an awkward transition, and the opening sentence of the first body paragraph moves from heat protection to an example without a particularly smooth link. The conclusion also combines several points in a long sentence. Use clearer topic sentences and more precise referencing, and connect each example explicitly to the claim it supports, to make progression easier to follow.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use a relevant range of vocabulary, including “practical skills,” “heatwaves,” “vulnerable,” “wrong company” and “supervision,” which allows you to discuss both sides of the topic. There are also attempts at more specific expressions, such as “physical as well as mental health.” However, noticeable spelling and word-choice errors reduce precision, including “sallybus,” “temprature,” “delevope,” “habbits” and “pramount.” Some phrases are also unnatural or imprecise, such as “get spoiled” and “smoking effecting their physical…health.” Check spelling carefully and learn common collocations for education and child development. More accurate phrasing would help your ideas sound clearer and more academic.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a conditional structure in “if utilized efficiently” and a contrast introduced by “But if left unsupervised.” Most ideas remain understandable, but some grammatical errors affect accuracy. For example, “students gets” has a subject–verb agreement error, while “the student get” and “help student learn” also need agreement or plural forms. The sentence beginning “The main purpose of the summer holidays of is…” contains an unnecessary construction, and “the trip…also make them” has a singular–plural mismatch. Review agreement, articles and sentence construction, and proofread punctuation and spacing. More consistently accurate complex sentences would strengthen control without sacrificing the range you are already attempting.
