Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5

You address both questions: long holidays are linked to physical activities, outings, and learning about nature, while shorter holidays are presented as a way to devote more time to education. However, the response is only a partial development of the task. The benefits of long holidays are repeated rather than explored in distinct ways, and the case for shorter holidays is especially brief; the final sentence is cut off before its point is completed. Your position is suggested, but the comparison between the two holiday patterns is not clearly established. The response also falls 9 words short of the required 250 words. Develop each side with a clear reason and a relevant example, and complete the argument about shorter breaks.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

There is some organisation: an introduction is followed by a paragraph on long holidays and one beginning to discuss shorter holidays. This gives the reader a basic sense of the response’s direction. However, progression is limited because several ideas about outings and physical activity recur without adding much, and the final paragraph ends mid-sentence, leaving the argument unfinished. Linking expressions such as “Moreover,” “For example,” and “Therefore” show an attempt to connect points, but some are used awkwardly or do not make the relationship clear; “On the other holidays” is particularly confusing. Build each paragraph around one main point, explain it in sequence, and use transitions that accurately signal contrast, cause, or example.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You attempt vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “physical activities,” “academic performance,” “education,” and “experience.” These choices show that you can communicate the general subject matter. However, the range is limited and many spelling, word-form, and collocation errors make the reader work to understand your meaning. Examples include “vatication,” “phycial,” “crickets,” and “the nature important and value”; “a considerabled debate” is also an inaccurate phrase. Repetition of “students,” “activities,” and “holidays” further restricts expression. Check spelling carefully and learn common topic collocations, such as “summer break,” “take part in activities,” and “gain practical experience,” so your ideas are expressed more precisely.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

You attempt some longer sentence forms, including a reason introduced by “Since” and a conditional beginning “if students just spend their time…”. This shows an effort to go beyond simple statements. However, the range remains limited, and frequent errors in sentence construction, agreement, articles, and punctuation sometimes obscure the intended meaning. For example, “Since, when pubile schools allow to students…” combines clauses incorrectly, while “students students can improve” repeats the subject and “students can not too much fo” is incomplete. Practise writing complete sentences with one clear main clause, then add a subordinate clause where appropriate. Review subject–verb agreement, article use, and sentence boundaries, and proofread for unfinished constructions.
