In numerous countries, the holidays stays for two months or more especially in summers for primary and secondary schools. The long holidays may give the students relaxation and spend quality time with family. But according to the favour of shorter holidays is due to the fact that children become more dependent on smart devices, and it disturb the sleep schedule.

Firstly, the long vacations provide students more relief from the academic pressure and allow them to spend more time with family by planning trips to different places internationally or domestically. Moreover, students can join summer camps to explore new hobbies or learn things outside of school. For example, a students might take two-week trip to explore historical sites of Europe with family and joining outdoor sports camp to learn swimming and team work.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

You address both questions and maintain a clear overall view: long holidays offer rest and family time, while shorter breaks may reduce excessive screen use and disrupted sleep. Relevant support includes family trips, summer camps, and the example about late-night gaming. This meets the task well, but the two sides are not equally developed. The value of long holidays is explained through several benefits, whereas the case for shorter holidays focuses mainly on screen use and sleep; explain more directly how shorter breaks would help children retain learning or return to school more easily. The conclusion recommends a balanced schedule, but its final point is unfinished, so the recommendation is not fully completed.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two main arguments, and a conclusion. Sequencing words such as “Firstly,” “Moreover,” “Secondly,” and “Consequently” make the progression easy to follow, and examples are placed alongside the relevant claims. However, some connections are mechanical or unclear. The opening phrase “But according to the favour of shorter holidays” does not clearly introduce the opposing argument, and the conclusion’s final sentence stops before completing its idea. Improve cohesion by using a direct contrast, linking each example explicitly to its point, and ensuring that references such as “this behaviour” have an unmistakable antecedent.

Lexical Resource: Band 6.0

You use an adequate range of topic vocabulary, including “academic pressure,” “summer camps,” “dependent on smart phones,” and “sleep schedule.” These choices communicate the main ideas, and phrases such as “historical sites” add useful specificity. There are also attempts at more formal or less common wording, but some combinations are inaccurate or unnatural, such as “the holidays stays,” “provide students more relief,” and “rise the issue.” Word forms and spelling also need attention, including “a students” and “team work.” Aim for more precise collocations and check whether nouns, verbs, and modifiers fit together naturally; this would make the argument sound more fluent and controlled.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You attempt both simple and complex sentences, using structures such as “while” in the conclusion and “Consequently” to show a result. Most ideas remain understandable, but some errors in agreement, articles, verb forms, and sentence construction reduce accuracy. For example, “the holidays stays” has a subject–verb agreement problem, while “a students might take” uses an incorrect article and plural form. In “The rise in screen use causes students to become inactive and badly disturb their sleep,” the coordinated verbs do not agree with the subject. The final sentence is also incomplete. Review agreement and article use, and proofread each sentence to ensure it has a complete, correctly formed main clause.
