Student answer (Band 5.0)
In many countries, primary and seconndary schools give summer vacations for two or more months. Some people argue in the favour of shorter institute holidays. But in my point of view, maximum holidays are the basic need of kids.
Holidays are essential for both mental and physical health of children. When they go to school in daily life, they are not grooming well due to stress and hectic routine and they face failure in exams due to fatigue. Therefore, this gap plays a vital role in their growth. When they study continuously, they feel bored and do not show interest in studies. They stop their studies in early life. This is also an opportunity of refreshment for them as many families go to trip along their children particularly towards hilly areas like Naran, Kaghan and Murree due to harsh weather condition. This give a great chance to spend quality time with family and learn about values of people in their life and also learn about sharing and caring of things. They also boost the confidence as you attend gatherings and meet with variety of people and experience the various circumstances. This can be helpful as, sometimes you can solve the issues by applying these strategies. They enjoy a lot and make beautiful memories there. In summer, holidays are also crucial to avoid health issues like when people especially kids face dehydration, it causes the heat exhaustion and kidney stone. while when they drink more water exceeded to the needs, then they face the diarrhea, cholera etc.
Many individuals think that vacations are the major reason of loss of study. When they are not go to school for huge time, the devotion of studies and school are finished. They ask their parents for more holidays after vacations but these issues are tackle by the time.
In short, holidays are the need of kids as they are essential for their growth and enjoy a happy life along with studying in homes

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You address both questions by explaining why long holidays may benefit children and briefly presenting the concern that they interrupt study. Your position—that children need substantial holidays—is clear in the opening and conclusion. However, the discussion is uneven: the benefits receive many examples, while the case for shorter holidays is reduced to the claim that students lose their devotion to school and ask for more time off. Several supporting points, such as health risks and confidence-building, are unclear or insufficiently explained, and the health discussion makes confusing claims about dehydration and drinking excess water. Develop both sides with clearer reasoning and a specific example, then explain why you consider one argument more persuasive.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response has a basic structure, with an introduction, a long paragraph about the benefits, a paragraph presenting an opposing view, and a conclusion. This gives the reader some sense of organisation. However, progression within the main paragraph is difficult to follow because it moves rapidly from fatigue and motivation to family trips, confidence, and health without clear links or prioritisation. Connectors such as “Therefore,” “This is also,” and “In short” are used, but some references are unclear—for example, “This can be helpful” does not identify precisely what “this” refers to. Use separate paragraphs for distinct benefits, make pronoun references explicit, and link each point to the task’s two questions.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “fatigue,” “quality time,” “confidence,” and “dehydration,” and these choices help communicate the general subject. However, the range is limited by repeated or imprecise expressions such as “holidays,” “studies,” and “issues.” Several collocations and word choices are unnatural, including “maximum holidays,” “in the favour of shorter institute holidays,” and “go to trip.” There are also spelling and word-form problems, such as “seconndary” and “refreshment.” These errors sometimes make the intended meaning harder to follow. Build a more precise range for discussing education and rest, and check spelling and common word partnerships before submitting.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including clauses beginning with “When” and “as,” and the overall meaning is usually recoverable. However, errors are frequent, and complex sentences are often not controlled successfully. Examples include “When they are not go to school,” “This give a great chance,” and “these issues are tackle,” which show problems with verb forms and subject–verb agreement. Sentence boundaries and punctuation also need attention: the health point beginning “while when they drink…” is joined awkwardly to the preceding sentence, and “kidney stone. while” has incorrect sentence punctuation and capitalisation. Practise accurate present-tense forms, agreement, and shorter sentence structures before combining ideas into longer clauses.
